SiriusXM Lifetime subscriptions being denied for Cybertruck

Hi Mike - I'm also using the phone ap to get SiriusXm in the Cyber truck. We have 2 model X cars with the lifetime subscription and that works. So I think SiriusXM is trying to get us to give up on the lifetime and buy the monthly plan. I'm not giving up on the live time plan. I paid for it and I plan on getting it. So hang in there. Maybe at some time we might have to join forces with all the life time subscribers and do something. I'm not willing to spend money to fight it. But I will join others in a class action suit if it comes to that.

They are trying to make it difficult enough that you give up and just pay the monthly.
Next time you call mention the terms of the class action settlement and if your subscription is not transferred per the settlement agreement you will be contacting the law firm who handled the class action lawsuit to report the non-compliance.

I bought a separate receiver and FM adapter to use my lifetime subscription. A little lag on startup but that is it. Some things you can't get with streaming.

I have 4 lifetime subscription plans with SiriusXM. SiriusXM will not honor this subscription for the Cybertruck. I wondering if there could be a Class Action Suit for this and anyone else who is running into the same problem. SiriusXM has tried in the past to make it difficult to transfer these plans to other vehicles and were sued and either lost or settled. Maybe it time for another legal action.

You need to look at the lifetime T&Cs and see if it mentions streaming. If it does not, then you are SOL.

I had to get a separate subscription for my truck they told me Teslas have a different technology and that it will not connect to my other vehicles?

If you use Bluetooth for an XM unit your phone won't connect. It only allows one. The streaming XM doesn't always have some sports channels or other live programs.

I’m having the same issue. They are telling me my lifetime subscription can’t be transferred to my Cybertruck. It did transfer to our Model S.

That's because the Model S had the sat. radio receiver. The Cybertruck does not. All music comes in via FM radio, internet streaming or local USB music.

Working on it because they legally have to, dragging their feet because they are trying to get people to drop their lifetime subscription.

Yeah… why would anyone drop a lifetime subscription. I use it for streaming in my backyard, and on my cell phone as well.

It isn’t technically possible as the CT has no SiriusXM receiver and never will. I simply stream from iphone, same result.

A stock Cybertruck does not have a SiriusXM satellite receiver (and probably never will). However, it is possible to install an aftermarket SiriusXM receiver in a Cybertruck (or any other vehicle), as discussed in this thread. The procedure might look complicated, but SiriusXM will be happy to sell you a receiver designed for in-vehicle use, and your local car stereo place probably installs them all the time.

And once you install a SiriusXM receiver, the lifetime subscription should work fine. It's just another satellite radio.

It is possible that sirius allows streaming through the app, as they agreed to in the lawsuit.
