I've noticed how solid and quiet the ride inside my Cybertruck feels. I keep reading about people noticing wind noises, rumbles, rattles and squeaks.

Is there something wrong with my Cybertruck?

No problems so far, no noises that don't seem to have a reasonable explanation. It's quiet, but not more than one would expect from an EV. I guess I don't think it's sensory deprivation tank level quiet because I have good ears and always heard every sound a vehicle made.

For ICE vehicles, I mostly understood those sounds. For this, only partly so far. I can hear the suspension compressor when it adjusts, the heat pump esp. in defrost, the fans except on 3 or below (that's normal enough), the different sounds when preconditioning or sometimes just post-charging, other sounds that may vary if it's cold, etc. I know by now what most of them probably are, but since my brain tracks every sound and filters the expected from the unexpected (perhaps a threat classification mechanism), and my familiarity is still low, it sets off subconscious mental alarms that I have to ignore as being harmless.

Some of those could perhaps have been addressed by additional sound-deadening material (like the heat pump, perhaps). A sounds FAQ with samples of normal sounds and what they were might be nice.

The audio is fantastic, so if it's on at a reasonable volume, most of the sounds aren't very noticeable. But I don't always have the audio on, if there's no talk show I like on nor any particular music I want to listen to just then. I suppose I need to get some audiobooks for books I've already read, so can follow with only partial attention.

So… I drove a ModelS (latest refresh non-plaid with yoke) as a loaner while CyberTruck was in for service..

what an eye-opener that experience was. Gives some first hand context as to just how exceptional the CyberTruck really is.. yes I know they are two different vehicle segments, but the step in advancement is significant!

if CyberTruck Tech and learnings do actually pass on to the other Tesla vehicles the competition may as well consider themselves another 5years behind the already 8year deficit.

..put squircles and SteerByWire in all cars please. Active suspension techs on both the Model3 refresh and CyberTruck feel second to none.
