Tesla has delivered over 250 Cybetrucks to SpaceX Starbase in Texas.

SpaceX is replacing their entire gas truck fleet with Cybertrucks, so even more deliveries likely.

There are a ridiculous amount there now. I drove through there late afternoon and employees were leaving. Lots of them were being taken home by employees (all the LPs were really close sequentially). I thought there wouldn’t be too many in the parking lot but it was still absolutely packed with them.

I'm pretty sure SpaceX gets a good discount on Cybertrucks.

Those need to be wrapped to look like Star Trek shuttle craft and given names that appeared in the shows. Actually maybe that’s what I need to do to my own Cybertruck.

EV pickup sales were probably very low in October 2025, after the expiration of the federal tax credit. For example, the F-150 Lightning has been the best-selling EV pickup in the US so far in 2025 -- yet Ford only sold 1,543 Lightings in October 2025.

So if Tesla sold hundreds of Cybertrucks to SpaceX in October, those sales could give a significant boost to the quarterly CT sales numbers. Maybe even the whole EV pickup sector.

Update: Based on a review of vehicle registration data, SpaceX actually bought 1,279 Cybertrucks in 4Q 2025. Other Musk-related companies, including xAI, The Boring Company, and Neuralink, got 60 more. An estimated 19% of CT sales in 4Q 2025 were to Musk companies.

Another 225 CTs were sold to Musk companies in January-February 2026.
