That's strange. You should be able to have someone go on a ride with you. I had someone go with me when I first bought it and another to diagnose noises. I would ask to talk to the tech face to face at least to try to explain it to him yourself.
The issue, as I understand it, is not the alignment / road tracking. It's that the zero point of the yoke causes 0.1 degrees of steering versus where they would like it.

@P200D
*maybe* they would let you be the one to center the yoke during calibration? There are also some people on the forum that can access vehicles remotely that might be willing to help.

@MCraft99 Update: I ended up going in, just walking the tech out to the truck, and explaining how I'm using the light as a reference to see that it's slightly off to the right and that I'm no technician but read up on the service docs about alignment, handhweel calibration, how SBW works and asked if we could try it while I was there. He then grabbed his laptop and we put the truck into service mode plus and tried to reset the straight ahead offset and then do a handwheel zero calibration to what I would set the zero position at.

Weirdest thing though... the first few times we hit calibrate, it (all of a sudden) would turn the wheel from where I set it to 4 degrees off (way off) to the right and then set that to zero and then finish.

Lastly, the tech just asked if I want to keep holding it firmly in the zero position and not let the motor turn it. I tried my best to hold the dang thing in place and although it moved a little, it did work! Atleast I think it did just from driving a few miles. About to go on a 2500 mile roadtrip so I will report back. The tech told me he's done many alignments on these and he still crosses his fingers each time and just hopes it works because "the directions are bad and I'm not sure why it does certain things".
