It's definitely understandable, people react in different ways.

People are grieving... LOL

I'm quite unconcerned at this point, my reservation is years away (if the reservations work anything like we think they will) and the price will likely come down.

I already overpaid for my Model Y, no way I'm doing it for the CT too. I will wait until the prices come down to the not so insane level.

Back to the under seat storage. Seems like it will take up some of the space when seats up. How removable are they? More importantly are they rattle creators? Going to pass until I see some first hand reviews.

I was more saying from poor design. Especially how it is affixed to truck or seat. Snap in? or bolt in?
Over time things loosen up and while empty rattle. Fit and finish isn't exactly Tesla's strong suit.

Not necessarily. I purchased a Lightning with the only options being the trim and the color. That was configured via their website and not at the dealer. I purchased a Bronco with more options available. That was also configured through their website too. Ford is trying to move to ordering from them directly and picking up the vehicle from a dealer or service center. At least that was an announcement a year or two ago.

Looks cool and all but if you have to flip up the back seat to access them then that’s probably the one accessory I won’t buy. I’ll have two child seats back there, way too much hassle to remove them just to flip it up

I feel that

ford has an under-seat that collapses in place, freeing up the floor space. You can only collapse it with the rear seats up.

I keep trying to remember to collapse it next time I’m shuffling car seats. I end up only trying to remember that life is worth living

I mean, whether Tesla or Ford, are people just now realizing how OEM pricing models works?

But in defense of Ford (bias alert, see PFP), I don’t pay $1,250 for my spare ??‍♂

I have every expectation that Tesla aspires to get the Cybertruck producing in quantities that allow it more pricing flexibility and a broader buyer market. Just not yet. Not today.
What kind of spare do you get with the Ford? Steel wheel/cheap tire? Certainly not the same as the stock or upgraded wheels. The Tesla is the same wheel and tire combo. Minimum of $450 for the tire and at least the same for the rim. So not so bad but I get your point. Who really cares what the spare is if it gets you out of trouble.

standard, full-sized spare that stores under the bed

a matching wheel/tire is for me a waste of money, because with matching you must either:

(A) only use it only temporarily like any other non-matching full-sized spare, or

(B) give it matching spare treatment: eg, include it in a 5-tire rotation, when it’s time to buy new tires you must buy and balance 5 not 4, etc)

I don’t care to do (B), and paying extra $ to just do (A) doesn’t make sense

then again, my spare stores under the bed where I don’t have to look at it taking up 1/2 the bed ?

On the other hand, I don’t offroad where it makes sense to pay to have a matching spare when needed to perform offroad

BTW, do the foundation series come with matching spare included?

2:40 mark of this video shows the below seat storage boxes accessory (when the rear seats are folded up). It's a $250 accessory in the online Cybertruck store.

Underseat storage compartment rear seats folded up.jpg

I just received the Storage box from Tesla but the smaller bins did not come inside the box. Is this something that I buy separate or did they missed it on my shipment? I don't see the option to buy them from Tesla directly.

Any help would be appreciated.
