Well, this is embarrassing.

I was sitting here tonight thinking "You know, I didn't actually check that I could lower the seats after securing the BAW. Maybe I should go check..."

Sure enough, the wiper interferes with the seats, and they will not go down. Back to the drawing board.

I did at least confirm that there's plenty of room on the frunk lid:

but without a molle panel, it's not secured very well.

Could you crisscross straps here or is there not enough room to feed them through? I’d check but it’s late and my truck is alllllll the way out in the garage…

You could bolt in 2-3 padded adel clamps some place like on the bedside L track.

I have yet to figure out what diameter to use but they come in all sorts.

When my phantom wiper moves I just write it off as God is trying to tell me something. 🤣

What material is the stiffening panel? Can you use a magnet or binder clip to give your velcro something to hold onto?
It's all stainless in there, so a magnet would probably work. Maybe I could get some of that "cantrail glue"

Could you crisscross straps here or is there not enough room to feed them through?
Nope, the inner and outer panels are glued together, there no room between them. If guess if they used cantrail glue, I just need to wait

Yep, inside a tube would probably do it. I was thinking smaller, like having a brace at the pressure points to distribute the load.

The frunk lid would work, if you had molle panels it would be simple. I didn't try fitment but it would probably fit due to the BAW curve.

There really is no "rear bulkhead" to speak of, the seats are bolted to it. I'd stash it in the vault if I already had a storage solution back there.

I guess I could always use the dash, plenty of room there lol
I have a bed up there already though...

The main issue with pre-buying a wiper and storing in your vehicle is that rubber rots over time. It dries out. Even keeping it out of UV light doesn’t let it last. If you kept it in a sealed tube you can maybe extend the life of it. Keeping it in a hot vehicle certainly won’t help it.

I’m in an extreme situation where the closest TSC is 3.5 hours from my house. It would certainly be an online order. That said… I have never had a catastrophic rapid failure of a wiper. They usually start showing streaks and you can visually see the rubber cracking. So there is definitely time to replace it. However, knowing the CT is new, you never know if that wiper will fail rapidly… so I get it.

yep! Quite a few people in heavy snow/ice climates have destroyed their wiper since the 1kW motor go brrrrr even if you forget to clear the heavy snow lol
