Tailgate latches but not pulling flush anymore

Mine not even totally flush to start with. Opened the service request but not sure it is "in spec" or not. I am not too much concern about this

It's supposed to pull itself closed. If a reset doesn't help, it's probably the motor or a sensor, so you'll need service.

Power-cycle.

Basically:

1. Shift into Park.
2. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Safety > Power Off.
3. Wait for at least two minutes without interacting with the vehicle. Do not open the doors, touch the brake pedal, touch the touchscreen, etc.
4. After two minutes, press the brake pedal or open the door to wake the vehicle.

Mine is not flush either and I try to ignore it and pretend it is ok but I cannot. I was hoping it was something I could adjust on my own, but I will see if service can address it. Anyone here have any ideas?

same with mine but only on the left side so the cover does not touch the tailgate and it leaks (and lets dust in) on this side.

Yeah they fixed mine a week or so after that. Now my sail trim is falling off, have an appointment for that next week. Still no PowerShare gear or light bar so I filed arbitration.

Damn one step forward and one step back.

I just had my tailgate replaced from a rear-end collision and that plastic trim on the tailgate is lifting on the left side. I was basically told, "it is what it is."

I can't accept that I had a tailgate that was perfectly fine to now living with one that's "off"
