50K is a non-starter. The developers would have been smart to come out at 39K like Elon. That would have got my attention.

I wouldn't try to guess, but if I didn't know better I'd think that a Santa-Cruz would be kind of in @Crissa 's area - except that it looks a little bit like a Subaru Brat to me :):

Of course it's not an EV but I'm just throwing in two cents for fun. Might make an interesting EV though.

What was Crissa’s reservation number again? 5 digits… yes, cancel and and get this truck.

It is the Avalanche mid gate that makes all the difference.

Someone needs to make them cool.
There are some very cool ICE wagons out there, that are stupid fast

I could never personally justify the cost of those stupid fast wagons, but if I ever won the lottery and had a 6 car garage…

but now that I’m off ICE, I could totally be turned on by a Tesla wagon (that happened to be stupid fast)

but same goes for a Tesla mini-van

WHY is this obsession with camping for electric trucks!
1686666547706.png

People dont buy truck for camping, I've never seen truck at camping site.
Or is this how they use trucks in California? :)
first of all, 80% of the cybertrucks will make costco runs exclusively
Second, I camp all the time out of my gladiator, often in places nearly zero stock vehicles could get to unless damage is acceptable

I actually saw a Santa Cruz last week pulling out of someone's driveway in Santa Cruz.

Cute, but impractical, very blimpy. Reminded me of the Juke, but with a bed.

Am I the first CT member to plop down the $152.00 to reserve a Telo Truck?

Any bets if I will ever see the money if the company fails?

Anyone want to guess the date I get the actual purchase order and a delivery? Sort of like guessing the weight and length of a newborn.

I'll keep you posted.

Ahhh... was thinking about it... but their need of heavy financing gave me pause. Figured I'd never see the $152 again.

So I plopped down the $152. On 6/15/23 and other than a confirmation that I paid. Didn’t hear a thing. Even sending them a couple emails, silent.

But on 8/1/23, I received an email with information. Looks like I’m 1 of 1,900 people to shell out $152.00. Pretty much in my opinion or comparison to other brands, 1900 deposits is nothing.

Enjoy the screen shots and let’s see what the little gift might turn out to be.

$152 is an odd amount, did they charge you a fee for processing?
It's based on $1.00 per inch in length. 152" vehicle.

Wish they billed me on my length / height. could have saved some money.

@C T Rick -

I broke my rule about no more reservations (collected too many already), put one down a bit back. Haven't seen my res number email come through yet though.

Been on the Telo discord since basically the first day the company broke stealth mode. Good people in there from the company and otherwise, and the CEO's attitude towards suggestions and feedback from customers has been pretty great to see. There's a lot to be done between here and deliveries to be sure, but I'm cautiously optimistic that they will not only make it, but make something really useful too.

The front crumple zone engineering is going to be very interesting to see for sure.

Oh and the "pill" air guide on the side of the car is already being reworked. Feedback on that was pretty horrible all the way around..........
