Do you have one? Do you like it? Pros and cons?
can you drive through a car wash with it?
Anything you wish you knew before you bought it? Worth the coin?
They always look pretty cool to me in pics but I haven’t seen one in person.

I want it. I watched the video below and seemed promising. I just saw it live in Nashville on a satin black Cybertruck and it looks like a bullet proof vest in the back. Very nice style.

(I do not know this guy in the video- I’m not paid by him or anyone. All opinions are my own except when my wife thinks differently and then it’s a matter of prudence of whose opinion I express.)

I bought one 6 months ago and I love it. I just leave it on and don't worry about it. It looks great and I hang a bike over the tailgate to transport it to trails.

I purchased a FOX tailgate protector on amazon for $80 and it looks and works great. I keep it on all the time.

Cool option I haven’t seen before. What does the inside look like? Any fit issues? Any pockets, loops or other cool features that may not be obvious?

Comes with 5 frame straps for 5 bikes though not even sure you need because the bikes sit so secure on the tailgate. No pockets. Simple and easy to use. Way better than a hitch rack.

Gets dirty/dusty easily. Nice for holding the seats.

Do you mean the jump seats?
Currently I’m using this tailgate pad. It’s supposed to loop around the tailgate, but I have a TPE protector velcroed on there so I run the loops between it and the tailgate.
It may not be as nice as the high dollar Tesla seats but it seats three, protects cargo from slamming into a hard tailgate, works well as a changing table and in my case at least has minimal impact on loading and unloading.
id probably do the same thing with the tailgate protector loops.
How are those jump seats? Worth the coin? How many do you use? One two or three?

Have you noticed whether the plastic cap on the tailgate is getting pinched or damaged by the bikes? It doesn't feel overly solid and don't want the weight of the bikes deforming it.

Any pad brands or versions that seem better (or worse) than others?

I'd mostly carry a pair of full suspension bikes, but we have electric full suspension bikes that come out once in a while too (heavier).

Did you purchase the "mid size" or "full size" Fox tailgate pad? Consider any other brands, like Yakima? TIA
