But another uncertainty is we don't know yet how long this FS invitation will be continuely send out, is it possible to go through another 100,000 RN batch after first 24 hour? tbh, even following 100,000 RN still are considered a " early reservation" compared current 2.3m+ reservation on file. What about another 100,000 after that? This is another reason i decided to jump in.

My 2 cents, hope can do you some help.
My best guess is that the FS will be all of 2024. This is my reasoning. The Cyberbeasts FS have some deliveries pushed to the end of 2024. Does Tesla really want to delivery any non-FS before all FS trucks are delivered? I think it would be really weird for people to take delivery of regular AWD Cybertrucks before the FS is delivered.

Honestly, Tesla rates are pretty competitive and it is much easier going through them. Just to warn you, interest rates are insanely high right now. Getting below 7% is pretty good.

This forum is becoming funny to a point of ridiculous on all the numbers tossed around.

"90% acceptance rate"
"50,000 invites sent out"
this that the other.

No one knows, so its anyones guess, but when I see crazy stupid non-foundational numbers (pun intended) blurted out as fact, its hard not to engage.

If you can afford the truck and you like it, buy it, if not, move on. It's a premium on a premium truck, it's common. So saying you like Tesla because they don't do this, well, they are right now, it's just that Tesla is getting the markup, not a dealership. My ford dealer wanted 10k over sticker on my non-raptor Bronco. We worked out a deal and I own it, because I like it and can afford it. If you are on the fence, that says your decision is made. Wait for the $80k version, IMO it will be better than the FS anyways because of time to mature. I want mine now.

I think you have the right logic

Glad to hear the 1127xxx crew is getting their shot at it. They honestly should have offered one invite per customer to everybody in that range before they moved onto the 1128xxx's. With that being said, I sure hope they get to me soon.

I'm buying the truck through my company which means that it qualifies for the Commercial Clean Vehicle $7500 credit regardless of MSRP, which makes the Foundation Series less of a hump. This is especially good since I don't qualify for the $7500 credit if I purchase it as a personal vehicle.

Unfortunately, I think this is what Tesla will be doing. They will keep on sending out FS invites until 2024 is accounted for.

This is really a shame though and I don't like it. The IRS is giving out $7500 for Point of Sale and Tesla is making us buy a package that denies us. They could have had a package that was FSD and Powershare, which wouldn't have counted against the $80,000 limit because they aren't physically attached to the truck. By even adding a $25 bottle opener to the truck, it is attached and disqualifies the truck.

I immediately bought it, even though I just wanted to buy the $72,490 model after $7500 tax credit. It was pretty obvious to me then that this would be my only opportunity for a long time.

I might have to look into this. I have an LLC for my Apple App Store apps. I wonder if I can someone tie it to that.

Thanks for the advice.
I did stop in Houston when I was out there last week and saw 5 in the customer delivery area.
Was so excited. I think I talked the ear off the sales person.
This is one of the reasons I am on the fence now.
Been going all over the web to find cheapest finance rates.
Best so far was 5% Navy Fed. I have an excellent credit score,
Any suggestions?
Any one?
5% is the best i heard. Tesla is 6.59%, even I have 820 credit score and still decide not to shop around to avoid some hassle in the whole processing. I always can refinance after i get the vehicle.

See other threads, it is possible they can't sell the retail version yet, until they are aligned with the EPA. I don't see this as a money grab for them.

The other cool thing with having the company buy it is that after the tax credit the remaining purchase price of the vehicle is a tax write-off under Section 179. Furthermore, if Congress passes the current comprimise bill to bring back 100% bonus depreciation then I can write off the entire purchase price of the vehicle on my 2024 taxes which will save me a boat load of money.

That is also likely. I truly believe that the 1000 FS was the original thought and then they ran into EPA and other supply issues. Once they scrapped 1000 trucks and ran into issues with making the Cyberbeast, they decided on a fixed number for 2024. I think the verbiage from the 4th quarter meeting says a lot about this. Saying they almost met the demand for 2024 and they keep on sending out invites, makes it pretty obvious to me that they are just selling FS the entire year.

I did the same as well.
