Has anyone used their Tesla wall chargers on OTHER EVs (adapters obviously).

Any issues? Just plug and play?

Specifically Porsche Taycan.

Yep… I have both a standard Tesla and Universal charger. The universal has a J1772 adapter with it. The standard Tesla wall charger does not. They both worked perfect on a F150 Lightening although the standard Tesla charger had to use the owner’s NACS to J1772 adapter. Absolutely no problem whatsoever.

I am using my Universal wall charger to charge my Lexus RX450h+ without any add on adaptors!

So...

Standard Tesla Wall Charger + adapter = Other EV charging happiness.

Do i have that right?

I have used the Tesla wall charger on both my Harley Davidson Livewire motorcycle and my electric Mercedes. I use a TeslaTap adapter. Just make sure to never attempt this adapter at a Supercharger! It has a 60-amp max rating.

Tesla Universal Wall Charger is the way. No more messing with adapters and it just works.

Admittedly, have not tested on Taycan. VW's are a little different with their software and pouch cells but it shouldn't matter.

The Universal Wall Connector has an adapter for non-Tesla charging.

Yes, that's correct. Specifically, the J1772 adapter.

Also note, if it's a gen 3 Wall Connector, there is a software setting that allows you to control which vehicles are allowed to charge from it. The default setting is 'open' to all vehicles (Tesla and non-Tesla). If memory serves, the other options are: only allow specific Tesla vehicles (by VIN), allow any vehicle but only during certain days/times. So, you'll want to make sure this setting is set to the default / 'open'.
