The father son duo is much more fun to watch. They're both pretty fair while balancing each other out by playing the skeptic and optimist roles.

This duo sucks. Neither has useful commentary. It's the classic truck guy spouting out arbitrary requirements for being a good truck.

Just about all CT reviews are clickbait. Everyone’s trying to write off or pay for their purchase.
Even some of the "pro" Cybertruck reviews are pretty dishonest. It's not helpful and leads to disappointment in the vehicle from new owners when their expectations are not met.

I’m gonna start a YouTube “reactor” channel, where I react only to Cybertruck reviews.
Ngl. I have seriously considered this. Maybe once I retire. Reviewers should be rated / reviewed.

Yeah...more evidence that I made the right choice by buying a lightning Lariat... Saved over $40k, but with the same range, faster, has a spare tire, more storage and passenger room, bigger frunk, has a paint job, includes a sunroof, proven / no bs recalls, and - oh yeah - people don't flip me off for looking like an idiot driving a refrigerator down the road. Almost forgot...charges at Tesla charging stations too. Big THANK YOU to Elon for turning Tesla into a glorified gas company.

Even the $100K-$120K Cybertruck buyers will have the last laugh when Ford Lightning owners resale values crash down because the Cybertruck & FSD owners can spend 1.5-3hr trip segments watching the scenery, playing video games or watching movies while Lightning drivers never get a FSD like feature and have to pay attention to the road.

The greater majority of CT customers are first time truck buyers and wont be using it for anything truck related.
Is that true? Where are you getting that data.

------------

I will summarize the video for those that do not want to watch it.

They rated it worst worst truck they have ever reviewed.

The good:
  • Its very efficient
  • Its the best EV off-roader
  • Best UI experience
  • Best over-the-air updates
  • Great payload
  • Great reliability
The bad:
  • The bed is badly shaped (not square walls)
  • You cannot reach into the bed from the sides
  • You can only tow ~100 miles
  • The exposed stainless sucks because fingerprints
Basically they think its a good vehicle, but they said its a bad truck because it does the truck stuff poorly.

Maybe I’m the anomaly with 10+ regular full size pickups (including my current 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD AT4 diesel) in my history. Aside from towing a fifth wheel (which I don’t do), there really isn’t anything I use my Sierra for that the Cybertruck can’t do. The box is a few inches shower in length and width but that really doesn’t matter for how I use a truck. I’d have no reservation having the local garden center dump a load of mulch or topsoil in my CT like I do my Sierra

Thanks. I suspected it was going to waste of time and regurgitation of previous bogus complaints.

.....
The bad:
  • The bed is badly shaped (not square walls
So all the legacy pickup trucks where the wheel wells protrude into the bed are suddenly never ever were real work trucks?

  • You cannot reach into the bed from the sides
Bullshit.

Most people can not reach over bed sides of most late model legacy full-size pickups on 35" tires.

  • You can only tow ~100 miles
More Bullshit.

Can be much more than 100mi. Depends on aero drag of trailer.
All EV pickups are affected by same laws of physics.

GM/Chevy Silverado EV with 210+KwH battery has longer range but what is recharging time?
When is GM going to make profit on Silverado EV with 210+KwH so GM ramps production to at least 250K units per year? I'll answer, NEVER !

  • The exposed stainless sucks because fingerprints.
Sure, so what!!!

Black & other dark colored painted vehicles look dirty quickly and get super hot in bright sunny days in warm climates.
So some people buy white colored or other light colored vehicles.

If the stainless surface of Cybertruck is not acceptable to some buyers then they can easily choose from a extensive variety of wraps. Some even say that installing a wrap on Cybertruck is so easy that there will be a lot of DIY wrapers.

Tesla friends warn their friends about wasting time in TFL videos.

You actually can reach into the bed from the sides. I do it just like I did with my older pickups (before all of these newfangled bed steps)… stand beside the truck, grab the side rail of the bed, place your foot on top of the tire and hoist yourself up. I did this with my CT today to reach something that slid forward in the bed (a rubber bed mat is on my short list of accessories to purchase).

When you post a video like this, post the cliff notes in a couple of sentences so we know if its worth a watch.
I thought about it...afterwards:LOL: But each person will decide whether it's worth even giving it a try, many think it's click bait just based on the title or will not tolerate anything less than a raving review of CT.

I subscribe to many of TFL's YT channels and don't always agree with or will even watch a certain video, just depends on topic mostly. For the most part I have enjoyed most of their content and think they do a decent job of reviewing trucks, cars and EV's.

I think they offer decent critique on some things about CT.

But in the end their view is not always your view.

I just love Elon.......

After taking delivery of the Cybertruck back in April, my experience was the exact opposite. The truck was far better than the "pro" reviewers had led me to believe. Particularly with respect to range and the useability of the bed area. A bed area without wheel wells is the way to go, and because the bed gets deeper as it approaches the cabin, it allows me to pack much more stuff without using tie-downs and while still being able to close the tonneau cover to prevent light items from sailing away and to keep them dry.

Yes, stuff in the bed stays dry, nearly 100%, even thru driving rains. A tiny bit of water leaks in so I would never put anything in there that absolutely cannot get slightly wet (just in case), but my F-150 Bakflip Tonneau leaks about the same amount, maybe a bit more, and I can't remember once in 14 years that was a problem.

Some YouTuber's have disclosed that they get offered significant money from third parties to put out bad Tesla reviews. The bottom line is many of these reviews are artificially biased, and TFL is one of the most obvious ones.

All of the reviewers that complain about not being able to reach into the bed from outside... You cannot do that on a dump truck either, why? BECAUSE IT HOLDS MORE STUFF!!! You can't have it both ways. I like the extra space, if you want to reach into the bed, get a flat bed.
