Damn, sorry for you to have issues addressed by incompetent techs. It sucks that we have accept and deal with"early build" issues. Sigh...

My overhead control console was also falling down and service was able fix it. I also had problems with the bed switch that went bed causing the buttons to lose control of the tonneau - also fixed by the service center.

Hope you get better luck for your next service visit
thanks!
Tesla Long Beach asked me to come right back in to repair the pedal and they did. They also ordered a new on for me because the fix has two holes now. And a bonus, they fixed my gear selector! That made me feel a lot better.

The Cybertruck is a bundle of new technology and some of it is brand new to Tesla. The truck took nearly 6-years to bring to market.

SBW, RWS, 48 volt electrical architecture, commercial garage door style of tonneau cover, front/rear Giga castings, proprietary ultra hard ss exterior panels, etc.

I'm actually surprised the truck has not encountered more headaches for early adopter owners.

Tesla will have addressed nearly every nagging issue by the 2025 model year. A wise consumer never buys the first production year of any brand new model.

My top gear selector panel dropped the same way, the SC fixed it quickly.

This is good to hear! As painful as being a Tesla customer can be, they do typically pull through....although eventually vs right away sometimes .-.

Sorry you have had issues, always annoying. Glad that Tesla is addressing the problems in a timely manner. Just putting this post here for all the media who will inevitably write an article based on your thread that Cybertrucks are garbage, owners hate them, etc… I’ve had my truck for a month now, haven’t had any problems, and absolutely love everything about it.

I have had my Cybertruck since January. It came to me perfect in every way and has remained so. I can’t even force my pedal to budge at all. I have a friend who received his a few weeks late, his is also flawless. I’m sorry for anyone with issues but keep in mind that problems are always pointed out understandably so, while those happy camper’s just enjoy their trucks daily, and don’t bother to post it online.

I'm glad you got your pedal taken care of so quickly. They never should have let it go out with that rivet hanging off the edge like that.

The bad thing about car forums is we tend to hear about every little problem a few people might have, while all the owners with perfectly functioning trucks have nothing to report.

So, I'll report that everything on my truck has been functioning normally. It feels very solid and well put together, even when hitting bad potholes on Forest Service roads. No rattles, just a solid "thump" sound.

Push em thru fast just to get them out the door.. just like every other service center from the ‘Established OEMs’

im glad the pedal is fixed, but two tries for such an ‘easy fix’…? Really?

They're not even countersinking the hole and using a flush head screw? That is pretty ghetto for a $100k+ car.
But yet the same method is used in aircraft so much more expensive than that.

If you had never known there was an issue and you saw it, there would have been no flags raised.

If you don't like it, get a refund.

In my 'bestest' future- electrical upgrade to my 50 y old house, charger - 2024-25. Model Y. or Y not early 2025, and... CT reservation (ca. 123 K) actually hits (Dibs on mid 2025 given problems and safety recalls). Decision on CT track record (Thanks CTOC - keep the data coming!). 2025 looks uproarious! Or not!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. At this point, I have given up on how much media is biased to these threads. To be honest, I haven’t seen a single positive article picked up from this forum by the media. Every article picked up by media from this forum is all about trashing CT. There are so many customers like you who are happy with CT. Media is just picking rant threads and putting CT in a bad light always! I keep getting messages from friends and family pointing to these news articles. I just smh, because I know which exact thread and OP triggered that negative media article.

It’s important for OPs to post their negative experiences. So, I wouldn’t blame them. I’m just pointing out that media is good in cherry picking rants threads for Cybertruck! I don’t know why some people just want Cybertruck to fail so badly.

Technically it is used outside on the skin of aircraft like Cessnas and Pipers, those with aluminum skins.

And you’d have an A&P mechanic certified by the FAA. And the repair procedure would be documented as part of the aircraft certification. And you’d have TSO specific parts, not just parts from the bin at Harbor Freight.

Right?

Just because you “see” it on aircraft doesn’t explain the layers required to implement it that way.

Otherwise, it would have to be labeled “experimental” for each and every passenger who got in.

This even why carpeting needs to meet certain standards, flammability and gases when burnt. You can’t just drop in a patch of shag to rest your feet when you’re cruising.
