I am thinking of driving from south florida to long island ny for the holidays, do you think the distance, stopping to recharge will be worth the extra time? or should I just drive my rover? I have yet to drive my cyber more than 30 minute distance... thanks

I did that trip after going from NY to Sebastian FL towing a travel trailer. I would take the CT, it was a great ride with a trailer and would be better without it since you can use FSD. The charging stops provided time to eat, nap, play games and hit the bathroom. The traffic in NC during the 27 miles of construction (yep, clocked it) would have been a breeze with FSD, but the monotony was tempered by the acc.
I would take the CT. And you might break down in the rover. :>))

It looks like a two day drive. I’d take the Cybertruck and plan an overnight stop at a hotel with a charger :)

The overnight stay is a good suggestion. There are a fair number of superchargers in hotel parking lots that are very convenient. You can charge up to 90% after dinner and move the CT. I then move the CT back to the charge early in the morning and continue to charge while we get ready and eat breakfast. This will warm the battery and you can precondition the cabin at the same time.

ABetterRoutePlanner (ABRP) can help with your trip planning. App options I've used in the following thread and they have phone apps too (links in thread first post).
