Sound off yay for those who get theirs!

And you can brag.

More importantly, let's learn about range, performance and quicks in various driving conditions (I am most interested in towing performance uphill, winter and max loads).

Good luck and may the force be with you!

That would be nice but it appears Tesla is just lining up their ducks on the CT FS that would be on or scheduled for production.

I've done as far as having my load approved but have not collected the $7,700 in downpayment.

I would expect the VIN once ai flunked the down and probably get a specific delivery date.

I have already paid my down payment for my beast. Order placed on dec 8th. Payment made about a week ago. No VIN yet

You should be reasonably getting your VIN in that case although I think your unit is already in the production line or on firm scheduling, at the very least.

I plan on doing 3 range tests with the tri-motor, very controlled and repeatable routes on similar temperature days at 65, 75, and 85 mph.

Looking forward to your stats! That's the way fo do it, tech-wise or scientifically.

You can borrow my RV for towing performance too, lol.

For the question on the estimate or promise.

Tesla is making hay on the fans and the over enthusiastic early adopters(or adapters).

Regular auto makers sell from their inventories, hence the immediately available VINs. It's already there in their lot -- or in another nearby dealership.

Tesla produce by firm orders -- a most enviable situation for an auto maker.

First reel you in by cheap $100 reservation, the $1,000 to confirm you are still in and then hit you with a firm order on their most profitable edition telling you it's the rare FS -- and that's when they'll start producing based on your order.

And now we are happily hooked and also swallowed the sinker -- wifey's anger be damned. LOL!
