Unfortunately, on both drives with the service center employee, I was unable to replicate it. It seems to come out during hotter environments around 40 mph and rougher roads. The vehicle is less than two months old and at 1000 miles. There should not be a rattle as loud and annoying as what my vehicle has..
I'm kind of torn on what to do next. The service center spent less than an hour on my vehicle (told me they were going to take the part off) and still no fix.
What now?
The rattle is so annoying on some roads around my house it makes me want to sell the vehicle entirely.

Don’t give up.
My plaid gave me years of clicking noise in dash until it finally had everything replaced and I’m free of the noise.

with Tesla, you just have to be persistent and push if it’s an issue. Otherwise; they’ll just say they put tape around the area and it fixed the issue.

How did you have everything replaced? I'm not sure I want to have to come to that point. It is definitely an issue. I'm going to continue to document the rattle and persist as you said. It's just very frustrating..

Can you take a pic of the area that you hear the noise ? Point to the area in the pic.

It went trial and error of different things. Eventually they replaced the fan arms and center console. But until then, they’ll try speaker housings, rubbing on doors, etc until they replace stuff. And then it does the trick. But you could get lucky and it’s just something rubbing on trim or a little loose.

you just have to stay persistent on them and you’ll find it, especially if it bothers you. I lived with it too long and took enjoyment out of my car.

luckily my beast doesn’t have that, except for the loose seals and vibrating doors that need to be fixed ?

I noticed a rattle develop that seemed to be coming from the driver side door at highway speeds. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out what was loose until I pushed forward on the A-pillar trim just below the speaker. I felt a slight click and then instant quiet!

Body creaks and rattles are things Teslas are known for unfortunately. There's so many on my MS, that I don't like driving it (wife's car). It's way better than the 2 MYs we had, but I have one on the dash and the rear sear creaks going over bumps on my CT. I have a SC appt, but with the MS they said it's what cars do. Hopefully they give it a shot.

My F150 never had any nor did my Mercedes or BMW.

I've isolated 90% of my dash rattle to the vent direction fins in dash. I can slip my fingers in the fins while it's rattling and it's definitely that for me. On one of my service tickets, I had originally seen where they mentioned vent clips or something, then those comments mysteriously disappeared. Never fully resolved, so I'm wondering if I'll address one day while in service. It's not terrible, but enough that it bothers me. (ocd)

My beast had a rattle that duplicates exactly the way you describe . It took 3 visits to figure out it was coming from the driver side ac registers . They were replaced and it solved the problem .

Try showing them this, this is from my rattle problem that sounds like it's the same issue.

My M3P would do be annoying rattles from the dash top. It sounds exactly like a clip, screw, chuck of something that doesn’t belong is vibration around. Sound doesn’t travel always in the same spot. If I slightly touch the dash it went away. I been too lazy to pop off the panel to fix it the right way. I went quick and ghetto and stuffed a McDonald’s napkin between the puller and dash and it doesn’t rattle anymore.

if it’s bugging you too much, read that service manual and remove pieces till you find it.

Was it a constant rattle or intermittent?

Vehicle squeak’s, rattles, knock‘s or other abnormal noises drive me nuts. When you figure the average new car is assembled from 30,000 separate parts it’s almost par for the course.

Not that it’s acceptable by any means as virtually all noise complaints can be addressed by the SC.

I always felt that if a purchased a rattle free vehicle I bought a “keeper” off the assembly line.

If vehicles were assembled with aviation tolerances and build quality vehicles would last 50 years.
