Looking over the truck for areas of NVH, the 90* angles between the stainless panels and the roof and windshield could use a small bead of continuous sealant I see areas where the VHB tape stop and starts creating gaps between the seal.
Furthermore it appears that the VHB tape does not bond to the rubber seal which is expected. This further exposes this vertical edge to wind penetration as I can put my feeler gauge all the way thru the back of the stainless. I can tell the VHB has no tack. It’s also not hard to deform the rubber seals around parts of the window indicating a weak seal.
I was thinking some UV stable black sealant, not too sticky…
anyone want to check their seals and see what it looks like?
