So I towed a Jeep XJ from Nashville TN to Dayton Ohio and range was 50%.

My average consumption was 748Wh/m.

I set cruise at 65 mph on low suspension setting with all seasons. Towed like a dream and with air suspension unhitching took about a minute. We had to unhitch once.

Pretty easy trip.

What percent did you start with and how many miles did you go and what percent were you at at the charging stops and at final destination?

Started with 260 miles of range. Stopped every approximately 100 miles with about 70 miles remaining and charged to 260ish. We stopped 3 times and arrived at our final destination with. The navigation wasn't adjusting for the slower speed. It's like every new leg it was counting on me driving the speed limit of 70 mph. We left at 12:00pm EST and arrived at 7:00pm EST. The timing is not accurate due to traffic and my wife needing to stop an additional time to use the restroom. It's normally a 5 hour drive without towing. With only adding charging stops it would have been 6.5 hours with the Jeep in tow.

Thanks. I'm not complaining. With tow pups and a wife in the cab we usually stop more than the required charging in general. I had an 05 F250 diesel for about 10 years and it was great at towing but expensive and rough riding unless I had at least 500lbs on the tongue.

Sorry, I wasn't implying you were complaining :). I was doing the math and thinking to myself, 'that's not bad!'

Great stuff, and thanks for the pics!

No worries...I was just saying that. I didn't think you were implying anything.;) I hear folks on every platform complain about long range towing. It's definitely more time consuming but much less stressful. If you don't care about arriving on a long trip exhausted and cannon ball running every time this aint your rig...but if you like to arrive relaxed this is your rig. I had zero wagging and getting through parking lots with the all wheel steering is a game changer. Tesla really needs to put a software update out to give preferred charger assignment to people towing for pull in stations. I'm sure they can do that with the new v4 cabinets. We had to ask two people if they could move so we didn't have to unhitch. They were nice but if the app told them first we wouldn't have to ask and they wouldn't have to move.

Totally agree about a little bit more time for the journey but arriving much fresher.

I towed my motorcycle track bike with my previous car (model Y) and it added about 1.5 hours to my drive compared to a gas car but I never minded it. Throughout the course of the year, I save more than that time just from not having to go to the gas station ?

Glad to hear folks were accommodating! In my experience, folks with EVs have generally been nicer to each other. Nice to know that seems to persist. :)

So true some people act like they towing all the time but they only tow a few times a year. And with the cost to drive a cybertruck it so much cheaper.
