You need to learn what the EPA Blended range represents and it's definitely not 70-80mph driving.

And I'm not sure how you think that 473 mile is "within the vehicle's range:.

For most travelling, if you leave at 100%, you'll get about 200 miles on the first leg, then about 150 on each leg afterwards. And since you probably don't want to arrive empty, you must have some reserve when you make it to your destination. So, 3 stops are about right.
Remember that it's over a 7-hour drive, so you should stop for rest breaks no matter what. If you combine them with charging, it doesn't end up being that bad.

@Azorian1 do you know which day this week ?
Yes, tomorrow 2/21/24 @1:30pm is pick up. I've been calling daily for a week now. It was in Sunnyvale as of yesterday. It was delayed 2-3 days in the usual spot around Riverside area waiting to get loaded on a truck. I will be calling again today to comfirm. They were fairly accurate about the date once it left Austin.

We don't have time to read no Manual ahead of time. :)

The socal trip is just an overnight pit stop to make it to Mesa AZ the following day. The wife and I will be working from the road through most of the travel time so the CT will serve as a mobile office. We're timing our important meetings at charging stations. Need to figure out how not to have tirekickers interrupt us while on calls.

On a different note, its interesting how the youth view this vehicle. Our grand daughter wants us to pick her up from school once we get to AZ.

not even my bio-filter works there.....it fucking stinks during the summer going from Irvine to Santa Clara thru /by Kettleman

They have another one and quickly on expansion in Bakersfield.

They should have another one by Modesto to make it end to end and middle.

You should plan your stop at the Kettleman SC but not the SC by In-n-Out burger unless you want to sit in the sun. Go to the one a couple blocks in with the lounge, the SC there are under solar shade. Then next stop could be at the Grapevine but use the one by the outlet mall. It's bigger with more 250W chargers. Pick the charger on the nav system so the truck will pre-condition the battery for faster charge time.

We actually took delivery on the 20th but not with our assigned VIN. Their pre inspection yielded a defect in the interior so they offered another truck that was ready.

I am getting 331 Wh/mi over the last two days 50/50 driving around the SF Bay Area. So that is around 370 miles of range. On the highway I try to keep it under 70 mph. Then around town it is normal city driving.

Image if I had aero covers + all seasons. You would be looking at 10 miles + 22 miles for a grand total 402 miles.

Like I said, that was during a road trip. I was headed to New York. If I need to actually supercharge locally for some reason, it's ~half of that. But I very rarely need anything more than my level 2 charger unless I'm going somewhere several hours away.
Well, don't use your local fuel prices, if you're not using your local charging prices! *laugh*

It's always going to be more expensive when you go to a more urban, more civilized section of the country ^-^ Demand is higher on supplies, as well as wages, which raise the floor of energy prices.

SoCal to Bay Area trip. Night drive, some elevation change heading out of LA area, then mostly flat throughout the Central Valley. Speeds varied from 70-80, temps were 46-54F. Used 250kw superchargers along the way and spent about 80 minutes total between 3 of the charging spots utilized. Drive was great outside of some of what others have said -such as using the wiper when we hit a small 10 minute patch of rain. Water builds up under the wiper and when the rain stops, you have to let that buildup flow up and hit the wiper a few times well after the rain has stopped. Same ol story with that rear camera, as it became worthless until I hit a supercharger and cleaned it off. Image shows trip details.
