I learned something this weekend that I think would have been a life saver last week. Or at a minimum, a sanity saver.
On my CT my driver profile is nearly perfect to my tastes, and it has Entry mode enabled for the seat but not ride height and auto-park on seatbelt. My wife's profile has Entry Mode enabled for both seat and ride height.
Works great day to day. However, it is a HUGE pain in the butt when you are hooking up or unhooking a trailer and you have to get in and out over and over.
You can't hop in the seat, slam in to drive and bump a little to get the tongue to drop in.
You have to close the door and do the dance, and then the seat is moving, and if the wife's phone is paired, its going up and down.... Messy to say the least.
Now. for the trick I learned..
You can make a Local Driver Profile.
I made one and called it Trailering.
I set the ride height set to low, no entry mode, mirrors adjusted for the widest view for backing up etc., seat a bit farther back for easy in/out, and no auto-park on seatbelt, no radio. It all follows the driver profile.
When I am hooking up or unhooking, I just pick the Trailering profile from the screen.
Made things WAY easier.
Then, driving down the road, I can pick my profile and everything goes where it should be.
Hope thisis useful.
