What’s funny is Nitto is a branch of Toyo from all I read so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have the same rep for warranty but yes I’ve heard the same as you said. I went down today to 4 wheel parts and put the Nitto the Toyo and bfg in a row I settled on the Toyo. I had 2 sets on my 2500 and I have a set of RT on my 73 bronco. I owned BFG MTs a long long time ago and liked them also. I didn’t particularly not like the BFGs I just kind of for some reason dismissed them. I’m in Los Angeles and maybe go 4x4 in big bear or Joshua tree off road a bit 1 or 2 times a year. Don’t need snow tires or weather don’t kind of just boiled down to looks for me and sidewall appearance
Toyos are decent. I had them on my previous 4Runner and Highlander. But remember, just because Toyo owns Nitto doesn’t mean the same warranty or even material. Nitto is their hard core off road tire.

if you are off roading 2x a year, a mud tire would be overkill and probably way too noisy for highway. My Trail Grapplers are a mud tire and I have to yell to have a conversation at highway speeds. But I have them because my Jeep spends > half its miles off road in Moab.

BFG KO3s will give you a mean look and a nice ride. Also Falken Wildpeaks are awesome too. Those came stock on my Jeep… had a smooth quiet highway ride and were great for off-roading. It was a good all around tire.

Regardless, it sounds like you settled on a nice tire.

Yeah already ordered lol the sticker shock of tires today blew my mind . They Actualy cost more then the wheels I got! I guess if I get some cash for the stock tires it won’t be so bad

Oh yeah… my wife’s BFGs set me back $1600.00… that was the Labor Day sale price! I remember when a set of 4 tires was $800-$1000. Man inflation….

I paid $530 a tire for 295/55/22 Toyo the Nitto were like $10 more a tire. I thought maybe cause I was going 295 but the 285/55/22 was only like $30 a tire less . I think 3 years ago when I got my toyos for my truck that were 295/60/20 they were $400 each?

Awesome thank you, yeah I see allot of cyber truck tires and wheels for sale on offer up local here in Los Angeles. I always wonder who’s buying the wheels when everyone who owns one right now has the wheels already ? but they seem to be asking like 2k for the entire set wheels and rims. I’d be happy to get less just so I don’t have to store them lol
Import the rims to Colorado, will be lots of buyers in the mountain states Sept - December. I would now, if I wasn't a member of the "skippers club" waiting on the ability to convert my RN112799 to a non-FS order.

I think you can sell the stock tires easy locally, as people begin to wear out their first set. GLWS!

Yeah I’m thinking it’s getting closer to some early delivery’s getting close to needing tires. But why do you say people would want the wheels? Doesn’t everyone with a cyber truck get these wheels ?

I’ve picked the wheels and now trying to chose the tires and make the purchase today . I’m going 295/55/22
So I’ve seen a few with the Nitto ridge grapplers on beee. But does anyone have any photos with the Toyo at3? Truthful this is all about the sidewall for me. I’m
Not sure if the Nitto is a little to aggressive or is the Toyo not aggressive enough ? I def want it to look like a big bad A… machine more then a car but also not to cray. What’s your opinions of both looks of these tires ?
My experience with the Nitto tires on a 2020 Land Rover defender they were out very quickly only 20,000 miles. They are grippy off-road and handle great on road but when they were past about 15,000 miles they make a lot of noise.

I would think that the answer to that is that they would be cheaper on the secondary market and faster to obtain than ordering from Tesla for those that want to keep two sets of wheels with different tires OR perhaps people would want them for a full-sized matching spare and you could sell them off one at a time in that case. Just a guess though.

Cheers

what about the falcon brand tire? I think T sportline sells them with their wheel tire package. I wonder if they are a good tire for road use

Definitely, living in Los Angeles having a second set for weather I never really thought about. Def did think about selling individual as a spare just worried to get stuck with 1 or 2 ?.

I’ve read allot of people like those wild peaks but I’ve also read some
Reviews of pros say they didn’t. Who knows I think that speaks to about every tire. I do like the look of those side walls though.

I like the Open Country III EV's, and the fact that they're 3peak snow rated. Rocked them on a Model Y in 18" and they were great year round. Toyo still hasn't rolled out all the truck sizes though.

Had Recon Grapplers on a previous rig and they do the trick for dry and wet. Not snow rated for those mtn trips.

I chose the new Wildpeak AT4W in 325/50/22...nice sidewall and so far so good in Fall weather. Look forward to mashing in the wet.
