Same here. Tesla offered $1K more than Carvana for my M3P and transferred FSD at the time (got my CT right after the we, robot event)

I traded my 2020 Y to Tesla for Cybertruck because of the free FSD transfer. The stipulation is of free transfer is: you must be in possession of/ own the vehicle with FSD at the time you take delivery of the new vehicle. I really didn’t want any risk to not being able to transfer FSD that I thought it was safest to trade it to a Tesla.

This is the key point, if you're buying another Tesla and want FSD, trading to Tesla is a no brainer. I find it hard to believe there will be a $8k delta between Tesla and another buyer.

I plan to trade my M3P with FSD for a MS Plaid with FSD... once the MS get SBW.

If you don't have a transfer, then look around at various buyers.

The deal is complete. Just waiting on delivery timing. Dealing with Tesla is so much better than buying from the legacy auto manufacturers. Tesla increased the trade in by $600 upon receiving pictures of the MS. I had hoped that Tesla would decrease the price of the CT, but got tired of waiting and pulled the trigger.
