Will this bin stay securely in place if the rear seat is left in the upright (stowed) position?

No they are held in place when the seats fold down, you might be able to use string or zip ties to keep them in place.
I personally am waiting for an aftermarket alternative, $250 x2 is pretty expensive and there are already some folks making aftermarket versions at about 1/4 of the price.

Sorry, I thought they were shown in a few of the early FSes so I figured they came with them. I knew they weren't available in the store, but I was only responding to the 'newness' aspect of the post title as they were in the catalog but not orderable didn't, to me, make it new when they became orderable. I'd have made the title "Underseat Storage Bin for Cybertruck (can now be ordered)".

I think they velcro or something to a bar under the seat so probably stay in place.
How do you figure $250 x 2?
If you have any links to 1/4 the price I'd love to check them out. $250 x 1 seems a bit steep for what they are based on some youtube reviews.

I’d get it if it were like a drawer, but the fact that I have to fold the seat up to access them is a deal breaker. Going to have two car seats installed in the back seat and removing them to lift up the rear bench would be a huge hassle
