For anyone installing home charging my recommendation to not get Tesla recommended installer, nor to mention that you are installing a "Tesla charger". From my own experience, the price of installation is immediately upped by 10 fold after Tesla is mentioned. I was quoted over $2k (cheapest quote) for installation of a Tesla wall charger by many electricians, but ended up installing it for $450 - by simply asking for installation of "outside RV outlet". There is nothing special requiring "Tesla certified" installer - electricity is electricity and all it takes to install Tesla or any other outlet is just connecting 3 wires. If installation is done wrong, the sparks will notify you immediately.

I do not think this is accurate. The wall connector is only included not on basis of "if you pay their installer" but if your location qualifies for home power share setup in which case the wall connector and gateway is included with the truck. You can choose installer to install it. For cyberbeast buyers, installation cost is included.

Now, if your location does not qualify for home power share setup, you not "get nothing" but instead receive 1 year of free supercharging instead of power share equipment. I believe Cyberbeast buyers get more for the forfeited installation credit, I just cant remember what
yea you are totally and completely wrong in almost all your assertians lol, my home qualifies but i am still unsure if i want to pay the 4000 or more to have it installed when i can just plug the NEMA 14-50 into a subpanel and feed my house that way and 9000 watts is fine for me i dont need the official powershare function if its gonna be that expensive. i have 2 wall connectors already but had hoped to add a third for the truck but seems that tesla is doing a rug pull if we dont use their installer which is totally not right. or it should of been clearly stated in the beginning this was the case. hopefully they can make it right by at least giving you the connector, the supercharging credits are basically worthless when you charge at home, and they know that.

I'm factoring in all these unknowns. Will try upgrading some electrical and Wall Charger installation a year before my expected delivery (2026). To iron the factors out! Start early, folks!
