Looks like someone took the crazy Cybertruck art renderings thread a little too seriously ?

Weird... Why in the WORLD would they photoshop the word "Yokohama" on tires that are obviously BFGoodrich KM3's.

C'mon, man... Boooooo.

Tesla Cybertruck Unplugged Performance's Cybertruck aftermarket parts / accessories presentation Boo

They get the suspicious side-eye.

This level of hate keeping by name calling is sad.
I thought we were above this.
People with priorities different than you do not make them ‘douchebags’.
I hate when people try to say that others who enjoy something in a different way are doing it wrong. That is gate keeping
This used to happen more with motorcycling, but seems to have calmed down some in the last couple of decades.
There are so many examples, let us (the Tesla community) not be another?
I'm not the "gate keeper", merely expressing how I see it.

It's everyone's right to mod their vehicle how they see fit, and my right to critique it. My opinion is formed by many years of observing that some people mod and strut, others get to where they are going without all the chest-thumping. If you are more of the former, have at it. Just don't get mad when people snicker.

Calling it like you see it? For people you don’t know, drawn to a new truck just barely shipping?
‘Past performance is not an indication of the future’ to paraphrase…
But you can critique someone yet to be seen or heard, but what if they did want to ‘peacock’ with their CyberTruck? Why is that a big deal? Does it take away you use of the CyberTruck?
And I can critique your critique… ?

Why would an aftermarket company want stock parts, even the pretenders?
the high quality ones don’t do this
To sell the part to lower the price for the customer or recycle and lower the price to the customer. Either way, what is the customer going to do with the OEM bumper?

Geez, I wonder how much range would be lost if you bought and installed many the accessories this company has to offer?

I am definitely interested in equipping my CT with some aftermarket goodies when my time arrives but will take into consideration overall range loss.

Well this is an interesting thread already. Just wanted to share I have placed my deposit for an unplugged performance cybertruck build. I’m building an overlanding vehicle suited for my needs.

Front bumper without the optional bull bar keeps aero in the front and adds integrated fog lights. Rear bumper allows for tire carrier, side rails and underbody protection for the battery just in case. Wider wheel offset to help with the additional weight from the camper etc. Seems pretty well thought out to me.

Some people will complain and judge others. That’s okay. For everyone else, stoked to see the support for cybertruck and will be even more excited to share my build (and adventures) with everyone along the way.

For reference, I off road my Chevy Colorado ZR2 bison and cybertruck will be the replacement.

If you’re asking for a massive bumper to be shipped back and then have to be sold as a means to save money then id have to ask if you debated this process in ur head. Its junk plastic and has no @cvalue13 in the market. The customer is going to either discard is or keep it in the garage until they buy a different vehicle and sell the aftermarket one.

Yeah name calling and profiling people you don't know from a bar of soap is pretty sucky...is also tiresome to read.

I generally try to critique the product and sevices first, but honestly this product line up is out of touch with what is essential for EVs to work, and whoever is in charge of these products should be called out so they make it right.

If I would for whatever crazy reason install all this rubbish on my CT, even I would think an ICE was a better vehicle, given how much this stuff will suck range out of the CT and literally undo all of the hard work that Tesla put into it to get it there.

On a value for money scale this is nearly entirely a loss for the customer in every metric, just so they can sell "customisation" at a premium.

If your vehicle is only or majority is on road, aero is key…

But if you have a short commute, work from home, and really want the CyberTruck for overlanding/offroading, then aero is not the upmost importance.

Just like carrying around all that extra battery when you never drive more than 200 miles at a stretch does not make sense, while others having to charge multiple times a day most work days, then the extra battery would be more important.

Everyone’s uses can be different.

Sure...but that doesn't mean peoples freedom of choice makes sense tho does it? People still vote in America right??:ROFLMAO:

My argument isn't that people aren't allowed ro choose what they think is more important.

My argument is that I can not see any of these products improving the CT performance in any way.

Try me with an example of one that does, then we can talk about if it makes sense.

Ever off roadbed? High centered a truck? I have, pretty embarrassing.
Also bashed bumpers.
I have friends who are avid jeepers. Went to pick up his front bumper with him.
I understand wanting a replacement front bumper.
I also see the advantage of a bull bar.

Now, I think there can be some improvements, but I am sure being first to market means you throw a dart at the board and then improve from there. No everyone can throw 100s of millions into R&D.

I think what makes this more viable than not is the mount for the winch. I was hoping Tesla would have made one or at least a mounting point for a winch in the Frunk…
And a spot to replace with a fair lead.

I am also curious if a 48volt winch will be lighter than the current winches used by off-roaders… cause if it is significant, I can see using a hitch mount winch and replace the front recovery points with 2” hitches that you can put recovery loops or hooks, but also use to mount the winch… that would give you 3 points you could mount it…

and if you want to get really crazy, you could even incorporate one into rock sliders on the side giving you a total of 5 points to winch from.

In the Army, we used recovery HEMMTs, which let you use a central winch and could go out in different directions, but that takes a lot…

Having all of these hitches would give you that flexibility… and using the underbody skid plat mounting bolts, I am sure you could spread the force out enough for good rock sliders and recovery/winching.

Just some thoughts I had… but I am no expert. ?

Stick to the items which make the most EV-sense.. Improve the capabilities, without sacrificing range.
