To me a “fix” repairs or mends something broken. Should these updates just be called improvements? Or tell us what the update fixes.

They are primarily bug fixes and yes, as in fixing issues. Tesla has rarely listed these bug fixes. Greentheonly has broken out some and others users have or service has reported what they fix. The MS/X refresh developed a buzzing sound when charging (really loud) a minor fix corrected this 2 years ago. Things like that aren't listed, but they are noticed by the community.

It wouldn’t be smart for a company to announce broken things for the news outlets to make big deals out of something that is literally being fixed. It would be like asking for bad publicity.

I applied the update a couple of days ago. Here's what hasn't changed or gotten worse:

  • I've had more safety interventions in the last two days than the previous two months, including the truck twice trying to use a lane into oncoming traffic. I'd gotten so comfortable with it's safety that this really caught me off guard
  • Turning from outside left lane crosses into inside left lane mid turn on double left turn lanes (including if cars are making the correct inside to inside turn). This behavior is unchanged
  • Late braking (not as bad as a few versions ago, but still a bit uncomfortable)
  • Late lane changes - I've missed more exits and turns in the past two days than the past six months - FSD doesn't plan ahead to get into an appropriate lane until way too late
  • Changing into a lane that's just about to end, every time. Embarrassing in rush hour traffic when other vehicles then block me out. This happens for lanes that are ending on the right or left side - it just prefers a lane that ends
  • Random windshield wiper activations (seems to take longer for the wiper to unnecessarily activate, but it still activates every trip, in glorious sunshine with a clean windshield)
  • My Cybertruck continues to refuse to pull into my driveway - it likes to go into my neighbor's driveway, or into the gated community on the other side, but it has never once brought be to my home (even though the pin is right on top of it)
  • YouTube music doesn't change account with driver - still have to log out my wife's account, scan the QR code, then enter the code in my phone every time. My wife has to do the same when she drives after I have
  • Random signal activation - the blinkers go on for a while, then off. Then on again. Then off. The people behind don't know what the hell is going on - they kindly leave lots of room for a lane change that never comes
  • Getting into the truck in my garage, which is a tight fit, will show "Park assist is degraded" which I first thought meant there's an issue with the cameras but I think means just at that moment, because park assist does indeed work. That warning probably shouldn't come on until one tries to use park assist
  • The truck mostly guesses the wrong direction for the transmission if I get into it with the garage closed - it wants to go forward into the wall and doesn't change its mind after the garage door to the rear opens. So once it's decided a direction, it doesn't change its mind with new information (probably the intended behavior - you don't want directional surprises)

Of course, many of these are nit picky - I still love the magic of a vehicle that drives me everywhere. It's just that this update feels mostly like a regression, and there are lots of issues that remain unaddressed. Looking forward to v14!

This is not an FSD update, so why are you expecting improvements in FSD behavior? So yes, we will have to wait for V14 (or is Tesla would do another v13 point version) to see meaningful full FSD changes.

No idea why yours is so bad. Or why mine is near perfect. Especially Lane changes with heavy 3 lane blvd. It’s better than humans.
Cameras maybe need to re calibrate? Dirty view etc…. Strange.

I'm not sure either. To be clear: FSD is *very* good - I've used it on many long road trips, and I use it day to day for almost all trips. But the issues I've listed could use improvement. I'm going to calibrate the cameras as you suggest.

Also, does yours do *none* of the things I've described? Trying to get a sense of the difference between vehicles on the same software.

I use FSD for at least 600-700 miles of driving per week, with most of those miles being on highways and freeways.

For my founders AWD, I can say the only of your issues I've had a couple times is FSD waiting until last minute to try and switch on ramps, but doesn't get there in time so the exit is missed. It does tend to wait way to long in my opinion to prepare for freeway exits or freeway changes.

And maybe once or twice in a very long time I've had it switch the wiper back to auto in FSD. But those times the window was filthy and I can't really blame it for thinking it was rain, etc. obstructing the front camera.

My NON-FS would occasionally wait too long on the freeway to move from lane 1 over to off ramp so we'll ended up missing our exit. It also occasionally would hesitate in moving forward after light turn green or making an unprotected left turn🤷‍♂️
