[Update: Took delivery, 0 regrets TY] Should I just give my bank their cashiers check back?

Well pretty much like the title says. I feel disrespected as hell from tesla, by the reserved and or lack of communication. I was contacted 3/30 asking if i was ready to take delivery after gettng a vin assigned the previous friday. Banks were closed over easter weekend and i couldnt fund delivery all cash over the weekend for a "like trim" beast. Was informed mine was due next week so i completed the funding so as to not be delaying things myself then ever since ive been getting the "its still pending"

I want the truck and have been waiting for years patiently. I understand that things happen but now since the first payment is almost due on my loan and I have no truck or eta makes me feel like a chump. Especially when the fix only takes supposedly a minute.

I feel like the prudent move is to cancel but i also feel of i do ill regret it. Just wanted to vent, I am sure I am not the only one sitting with a full houses mortgage worth of funding colecting returns for no one, and it doesnt sit right.

I’m in a similar boat. I have a buyer for my Model X flying in on Sunday. I can’t believe that Tesla is taking their sweet time sending these Service Centers the repair kits. Tesla treats customers as if they are just numbers. It’s just sad. I would press it with your service center. Talk to a service manager and sales manager. There is a chance that the repair kit isn’t even ordered yet.

Did you try to contact the delivery center directly? I had to delay my first car because I was out of the country so then when I got another vin I contacted the delivery center to let them know that I wanted to pick up my car asap due to my frequent traveling and did not want the same last minute warning that the car was ready. They were very accommodating and although they had a lot of other cars to deliver they squeezed me in and arranged for me to pick it up two days later. Your car might just be seating at the delivery center and they are very backed up on deliveries because of the pedal issue. If it’s there they will likely accommodate you.

Part of the problem may be that they sat on around 1000 trucks at the factory, waiting on the fix.
Tesla ended up with a massive logistics problem. Based on Joes videos, it looks like that is solved now, and around 1000 new trucks should be on the road very soon. If you cancel, someone that didn't even know they were getting a truck is going to have about a 1 day wait. Just ask Justin Bearded Tesla.
They may not send you a thank you note though!

Easy cowboy. Selling shares in a company that can go 10x in the next 5 years is not the way to deal with frustration. You should be promoting-- not attacking. Legacy car makers will show a picture and never make the car. Tesla is trying its best to get the prototype made. In the end you will be happy.

If i knew how badass this truck was I would have just been quiet and greatful. I definately would have kicked myself for canceling. Took delivery yesterday and am having a blast. Thank you all for the last minute encouragement. ?

I hope you vented and get the CT. It's a lot of money but it's an exciting and fun car to drive.
