Has anyone experienced pretty significant vibration of the skin panel at the back of the front door pockets? It seems to happen across a higher speed range (65-80 or so) and I’m guessing it’s due to turbulent airflow on the flat skins of the door, or was it a manufacturing oversight on my particular truck. Thanks for any feedback, Dave.

Obviously, it shouldn't vibrate. If it does, and it's not something in the door receptacles, then something must have come loose inside the door panel or is rubbing on something in a way it's not supposed to.

Thanks for your reply, I’ll set up a service and see what they can do. Dave

Yea, only once I experienced a buffeting/vibration sound from what seems like inside the driver’s door going ~75mph, but there was a strong cross wind at that time. I don’t hear it normally; normally the truck is super quiet.

Is the vibration easily repeatable? Cause in my case, it’s not and I doubt Tesla would find anything wrong.

Thanks for your reply. It’s not that it’s loud although you can hear it. It’s simply that it’s vibrating so much that I would assume something‘s going to come loose eventually. Bottom line is it shouldn’t be vibrating so extremely. I’ll report back if I learn anything from service.

I had this from day one. Made it 7000 miles and finally complained. The service center changed the driver door…. Said it was insufficient welds on the stainless. Honestly it’s better now but still happens at 80 plus.

stinks if you wrapped it…. Especially with a pattern wrap.

☝this, I had the same thing from day one and it would vibrate my driver side mirror and the water bottles in the door pockets. Technician remounted/replaced my stainless panel and the problem is gone now.

Good to hear there is a fix for this. Do you know which panel on the door was replaced?

I had this (driver door vibration) on my 9k VIN AWD. Test drove another AWD this summer and the same. Big vibration in the driver door. The front motor and tires were replaced, while other vibrations became better, this bad door vibration stayed (it was occasionally and at highway speed). I now have a later VIN beast (Nov 2024 build) with the all seasons and it doesn’t have the problem at all. I have no idea why this happened on my past AWD but my current beast doesn’t have the same issue.

My CT is a Oct/Nov build, non-Foundation dual motor with all-season tires, and the vibration is pretty bad and the passenger door has it too but not as bad. I wonder why your new CT does not have the vibration?

I have no idea.. I have road tripped both (1,800 mile trips) only a few days old. I was super surprised the beast didn’t have any of the same issues at all (vibrations, road noise, etc).

These later builds of the AWD and beast should be clear of any motor anomalies. If you are close to a service center, maybe overnight a beast (or AWD) to see if you have the same experience. In the beginning with my AWD the ride was miserable feeling like the tires were defective. Turned out it was a motor. No failures of any kind just a mean rumble felt through the vehicle.

Stay with it you’ll get it worked out.

I really appreciate your input, I will keep on it and provide an update. I have to believe this is more common than not.

I ended up getting vibrations in the front cabin 65mph upwwards, got worse the faster I go. This happened around 1500 miles in, turned out its the acoustic foam in the tires.

Service deemed it wasn’t a safety issue and that it can be fixed at my service I had scheduled for other minor alignments a month down the line, that said it has caused significant creaks and rattles in the interior cabin with the vibrations. I’m guessing this is also something coming loose as described above?

Why would you believe door vibrations are more common than not?

If that were the case, don't you think of all the people who have reviewed the Cybertruck, a few would have noticed it? Instead, most of them relate just how calm and quiet the cabin is.

Good to hear there is a fix for this. Do you know which panel on the door was replaced?
At my first visit in August to address the door panel/mirror vibrations, these were the service notes:
“ Concern: Customer states: Glass & Windows - Drivers side mirror vibrates at highway speeds,
distorts the image making it hard to see back on that side. There is a buzzing sound that
accompanies the vibration, can’t tell if the mirror glass itself is loose, or if the housing is loose, but
the rubber seal on the inboard side doesn’t fit in the housing properly so perhaps that’s part of it? Passenger mirror is rock steady and clear image

Repair Notes: Verifeid customer concern on test drive. Determined door bonding to have
separated leading to excessive vibration- of the door panel affecting the mirror. An appropriate
repair is currently under investigation and will need to be addressed in a future appointment.”

At my second visit in October (after 1000s of miles roadtripping:
“ Concern: Customer states: Glass & Windows - Drivers side mirror vibrates badly at freeway
speeds, can’t see well especially at night. Passenger mirror is rock solid at same speeds. Often
coincides with severe vibration of the driver door panel which shakes bottles and other objects in
the door pockets
Repair Notes: Verified customer concern. Diagnosed and found outer skin had come unattached
from support. Replaced side mirror due to vibration during highway speeds. Verified door aligned
and operating as intended.

The October visit is what fixed the issue, but the key was the driver door skin had become “unattached from the support”.
