I gotta get me one of these. What’s entry level money for an airstream give or take? Any recommendations what to start looking at for family of 5 (3 small kids)?
Last I checked, they were around $2 billion.

It's a tunnel tent; PVC and tarps.

The arches are made of 3x ~10' sections (with a slightly larger diameter tube cut into connectors between) so it all packages nicely on the roof. I designed and made it myself with my spouse.

The footprint is about 20' x 20', plus the sun shade which is an independent arch. It's survived 50mph wind and direct hits from dust devils.

That’s brilliant and I recognize that location! ? I thought our hunting tent was big but this takes the cake!

Well, it's designed to cover an entire camp! We put the car and sleeping tent on a groundcloth inside which keeps everything relatively clean and dry in various weather.

And we can change the size of footprint based upon needs; and we have a black tarp we turn dark side out for when we use it in the cold. Sun will heat the tent, and then everything inside warms up but the tarp keeps the wind from stealing the warmth.

… for now.

But, I’m waiting for my MarsAG rooftop tent, which I’m told has already shipped & should be in my hands within the next couple of weeks!

So in the marketing material for those horizontal bed dividers, they picture three of those supporting a mattress over the bed. Anyone here try that?

That looks comfy. But guess you’ll need a large tent over the truck??

Something like this?
You wouldn’t have to unload the truck to sleep.

That's not the sleeping unit. It's meant as a base camp.

The sleeping unit is the silver cube in the foreground of the interior shot; we pack a separate tent for a bedroom when we need to sleep only for a night.

Gotta bring your own shade if the shade doesn't exist; but if it does exist, you don't need to. Every camp is different!

They’re great campers, but definitely not cheap. Here’s a great place to get used Airstreams with prices and locations included ( https://www.airstreammarketplace.com/ ). New Airstreams start at $40K and go up to $200K.

Tested out this setup from CybertruckCo for a weekend. It’s called the Cybercamper. It has a full size bed up top that folds up allowing you to stand inside. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to get mine in a few months.

Love seeing all the Airstreams in here! Such a great match for the Cybertruck. Here's a pic of my Basecamp 20x when I camped in Kisatchie National Forest. Last summer I found the A/C takes about 1% of the Cybertruck battery per hour, which works perfectly for a weekend. I just hit the supercharger before & after and I can camp anywhere I want in nearby forests.

I notice theres about a 10% per day overhead for powershare if I am drawing minimal power for small loads like starlink.

This got me to be a bit creative: I have a splitter for the zamp solar port that I connect to my starlink dc-dc power supply and a small 150w panel. The extra solar panel totally offsets the starlink power consumption without draining the 2.5kwh lithium batteries in the airstream. This way I can keep the starlink going incase I have to leave camp. Also lets me avoid overhead from running powershare in the forest.

So by PowerShare you mean the “keep outlets on” mode?

Love this setup. If. I had a full rack, I think that’s how would use it
