As a motorcycle rider I highly recommend nothing. It's fun the first year, but then the obligation of waving over time isn't fun anymore.

If you feel like you just have to have something, the best hand signals convey a message that the other person can relate to... I'd recommend reaching out and grabbing the Cantrail - and if you happen to be at a stoplight within yelling distance, scream Can't Rail!!

I've started flashing peace/love even in response to the middle finger. For some reason that just makes the people flashing that sign angry.

The finger is kinda funny, but I prefer the silent, mental head nod, fully obscured behind tinted layers of UV-resistant anonymity.

Probably boring but I hit the hazards briefly. It’s very convenient to just reach upwards for that.
tint makes any physical gestures useless for me
