Our trucks have some good attachment surfaces and I’m curious what you all do with them.
I’ll start…previously had a Starlink glass mounted inside.
I use a magnetic trash bag and mount an auto sense hand wash faucet while camping. My kids decorate the car with all sorts of magnets all the time.
I also use magnets to keep my underseat bins from sliding and of course to mount/charge my phone and baby monitor.
Found these in Amazon which look kind of interesting

Oh, man, I use magnets for lots of stuff. My front door trash bins, flashlights, box cutter OTF, etc. I'll post some pics later this afternoon, but I love using neodymium magnets for accessories.

Quick example of my magnetically attached trash bin and flashlight in the front doors of my CT:

Could you please share a link for the flashlight?

Forgot to mention that I use strong magnets to keep my Starlink mini in place on the megadash.

I absolutely love it. I learned a lot from modding my first car so I’m sort of getting a second chance to do things the “right” way in the sequence I want. It’s very fun. And my kids have been helping a lot in the process of restoring bluey which has meant tons of quality time with them.
definitely feel like it was the right move.
no regrets

Congrats.
You should post an old vs new thread. I'd love to see what you did differently. I like seeing others ideas.

Interested in the details of the Starlink mount. I've got one in the same place ... but not nearly as well executed. The reflection in the windshield is not a bother?

Thank you. That’s why I wrapped it in flat black. It’s a veritas vans mount that was originally white topped. https://veritasvans.com/product/starlink-mini-mount/
As an experiment take a piece of black paper or card stock and put it on top of your Starlink. In mine it made the reflection pretty much completely disappear so I proceeded with wrapping it. That picture was taken specifically to show the worst of the reflection but it’s practically gone. I was a little worried about heat but my (importantly NON-METALLIC) tint seems to have prevented that. I do keep cabin overheat protection on in in my car though because I live in Phoenix. Guessing that makes a difference.
I use the magnetic feet but I bought both the suction and magnet option for versatility.
what I did was carefully lift the textile from the dash side and propped it up on two pool noodles while I stuck a magnetic plate on the megadash. Be careful with the noodles and reaching in there, the speaker-grill-like material on there is easy to damage.

Went with a black plate in case it showed through the mesh. It doesn’t.
The second part is what my wife would say makes me “a little extra”. The mount doesn’t really move at all even without all the magnetic plate business because the windshield side legs can be stuck to the little grill at the very front but I was worried about what would happen in an accident and the potential for facial trauma so I went a little overboard.
What I like about this approach is that it’s otherwise dead space anyway and it’s still inside so climate controlled, theft proof and not aerodynamically impactful whatsoever.
I had it on the glass roof for a while but I changed for two reasons, one, I started to worry about the potential for radiation that close to my children’s heads in a sustained fashion (Just didn’t want to chance something that’s clearly untested) and also because I installed one of those electrochromic glass starlight things in its place.
