It is disturbing to read about the negative incidents happening to CT owners and their trucks. Here in Manitoba I have not had a single incident. Not even a middle finger. I hope it stays that way. Enjoy your trip. Sounds like a hoot.

I live out west and it’s becoming more dicey taking the CT to the city or leaving it unattended for hours at a time. Kind of decreases the utility of the truck when you have to factor in the probability of dealing with vandalism or damage. Given the politics of the area, taking matters into my own hands if I catch someone in the act will result in me being punished far more harshly than the unhinged person “sticking it to Elon”.

I hope the derangement dies down soon, or Tesla adds more anti-vandalism features, or the government starts cracking down harder on these people.

Very cool, should make for a great trip, hope it is negative incident free and you have a great time. You doing a Southern loop this time of year?
Also hoping for trip free of negative incidents. I don’t care about the middle fingers or people yelling things as I drive by, all that is temporary and doesn’t damage my property.

Will take 80 / 70 for most of it. Part of the trip has us near Philly and Michigan so we will be all over really. Not worried much about weather that time of the year. Grew up driving sideways in snow more often than straight so weather has never really been something I worry or think about when I plan trips.

Have no proof, but a ceramic coating “should” diminish the adhesion properties of paint. It would be a good experiment to conduct.

If someone does harm your truck you are better off just taking moving on with you day. The people doing it are trying to bait you into their worthless lives. They have not much to lose and bet you got alot more to lose. At least I keep telling myself these words :)

You're right :cautious: Losing a civil suit would hurt more than the vandalism

I've owned my CT since December. Got my first finger today. I laughed at him and he continued driving away. I'm not even sure how to respond. Pounding on him seems excessive. But, it would feel good.
