In anticipation of my drive back to Virginia from Austin, Texas, I need to update my totally awesome road-trip mix cassette tape, vol. 1.

Anyone have any idea what the CT will offer for entertainment systems? I have seen posts about a great speaker system, but what are the options to drive them?

Some of these: native Sirius XM, am, fm, CD, DVD, TV, USB, 3.5/1.5mm jack, internet, Bluetooth, hands free calling, gaming, charging dock, what else? (I am assuming no cassette or 8-track ).

Slacker is built in for free without ads, it's surprisingly robust if you just want music and offer HD audio built in.

You can also Bluetooth in anything you want without issue.

I assume that one purpose of the truck bed, its various electrical outlets, and its overall configuration, is to support the live band. Don't worry about Highway Patrol pulling you over for having humans in the cargo bed; those are Tesla Bots playing.

You would be surprised how easy it is with the streaming option, to simply ask it to play a song title by artist and it just retrieves it. Then it keeps playing other hit songs of that genre and period. As @BillyGee mentioned, you'll be surprised how easy the built in Slacker streaming service is to use. In areas with sparse or no cellular connectivity, the streaming service does drop out though.

There's most likely going to be USB connectivity also as in other Teslas, so you can preload a mix onto a USB connected SSD or Thumb Drive, and play all your songs that way as well. Then of course there will be FM Radio. I think some Tesla's have Sirius, and personally I wish they'd include AM Radio for those rare occasions, but it seems like AM is being deprecated in car audio lately.

So if I were you, I'd copy/rip your cassette tape(s) songs onto a USB drive into MP3 format.

There might be a way to connect a portable cassette player, but operating that or changing tapes would be torturing yourself, along with being a distraction which reduces safety. With the USB drive you can just use the buttons on the steering wheel with your thumbs and keep your eyes on the road. FSD helps a lot, but I'd still not burden myself with a cassette player even so.

Entertainment options in a Cybertruck? If you are an early reservation holder, when your turn comes up, just park it on the steet in an area where a lot of pedestrians frequent. The entertainment will be first rate!

Seriously though, if the Netflix movie/audio quality is as good as it is in our Model 3's, and you have Premium Connectivity, you will be blown away by the theatre-like experience you get in your car. We have two Model 3's with free Premium Connectivity and the third one just costs $10/month (last time I checked). Totally worth it for the streaming movies and especially the music if you drive the car with any regularity.
