The weird thing is that Tesla continues to allow FSD purchase in its largest market: China. It's branded as "Tesla Assisted Driving" in China. Cost is 64,000 yuan, equivalent to about $9,450 at current exchange rates. In fact, there is no monthly subscription option in China at this time; your only choice is the one-time purchase.

Another difference: Tesla continues to offer Enhanced Autopilot as an option in China (as "Enhanced Assisted Driving") . Cost is 32,000 yuan, equivalent to about $4,725 at current exchange rates. Again, no monthly subscription is offered; you have to make a one-time purchase.

No idea why Tesla insists on the one-time purchase model in its largest market (China), yet insists on the subscription model in its second-largest market (US).

For the 10 days in Feb, Tesla sold over 18,500 $59,000 cybertrucks, but ordering did not stop there, orders have been coming in for the $69,000 cybertruck, and for the premium and Cyberbeast, and a few have of the Standards have been converted to an upgrade. since Feb, tesla has taken in over 50,000 orders for cybertruck for 3 models.
on the next earning call next week, we will know what the fate of Cybertruck
Elon mentioned in April 2026, Cybertruck will transition to more of a utility / delivery vehicle.

I truly believe that with these sales numbers on cybertruck Tesla might be changing its mind and hopefully will bring back incentives and pricing like another $59,900 deal, and

this is why I purchased a 2nd 2024 FS Cyberbeast.

if tesla comes out with the $59,990 option again, i will definitely order one.

Cybertruck Standard $59,990 is the most successful promotion Tesla has ever run. it beat out the Model 3 and Y standards. launched one year ago. they can't give them away even at zero %

the next earning call will tell on July 22.

for those of us that were lucky enough to buy a 2024 FS Cyberbeast, have you noticed the value increase of the Foundation series?
the slide has stopped and has leveled off.
in 2024 tesla made 6,197 FS Cyberbeasts , approx 20% have crashed, lemon lawed, or have been sold off. which leaves approx 4,500 still in ownership. the last few weeks they have come up for sale on the Tesla site, most are priced at 93-99K

I waited 5.5 years for mine, sept oct is just around the corner.

also, for car insurance, get your credit score up to 850,
your insurance is based on your ability to pay, not your driving record.
I pay $407 every 6 months, and $205 for 6 months for the second cyberbeast thru progressive. use this time to organize your financing and credit score.
also look into Power Share and Tesla Solar. the saving is amazing

once you learn what the cybertruck can do, you will start saving, Gas, Diesel, Electricity, Insurance, taxes, and so many more benefits.
remember, it's NOT all about the monthly payment. it what you can do to save and cut your expenses
remember, if your cellphone is constantly gong dead, or running out of power, a cybertruck is definitely not for you!

I am currently waiting on my own SAWD Cybertruck, but seeing these videos makes me wonder why production is so slow. They have a backup until 2027, so idk why they wouldn't push through orders more heavily. There's no way they are at the capacity they list as possible.

Tesla always tries to match the volume of production with demand volume. But they probably aren't in a hurry to add a Cybertruck production shift until they have enough of the new (updated) PCS to feed both two Cybertruck production shifts and all the previous customers who need (or might need) a PCS replacement.

This is true, but even so, I believe you can legally buy a new Tesla at one place in CT: the Tesla store on the Mohegan Sun reservation in Uncasville. Some state laws don’t apply on tribal lands.

If you didn't know that Tesla has an actual sales location in CT, it's probably because Tesla does a poor job of advertising. However, Mohegan Sun is happy to brag about it:

Looking at our $59k order tracker, now with ~136 CTOC names and comparing the member deliveries against Facebook and other social media posts, I estimated we have about 1% tracked in the forum, or about 14,000 orders. If the 18,500 is accurate, my estimate is not too far off.

more accurate numbers will be out on July 22 however look at the production numbers that were released on July 3 and the April Earnings call and April Q 1 numbers. Telsa does not break out exact figures for each model but the math is there

Tesla has historically released two quarterly production numbers: one for the Model 3/Y combined, and another for "Other Models" (Model S/X and Cybertruck) combined. For the past two quarters, the production numbers for "Other Models" are:

1Q 2026: 13,775 (S/X/CT)
2Q 2026: 8,822 (S/X production stopped sometime in Q2)

So for the first half of 2026, Tesla produced a total of 22,597 Model S, Model X, and Cybertrucks combined. Not convinced that the math is consistent with >50,000 CT orders since Feb.

Based on Tesla's announced numbers, the production of "Other Models" (S/X/CT) has actually been falling over the past couple years:

According to RN’s from the delivery tracker in the $69k begin’s deliveries thread, there are 84,000 all model Tesla reservations from 2-20 to 2-28. As Tesla uses a sequential rn system. Based on the Q2 P&D numbers, Tesla delivered 4693 model 3 & Y per day, or 37,547 every 8 days. For the 8 day window of 2-20 to 2-28 there is a massive jump from 37,547 typical delivetues to 84,000 reservations. This 84,000 does not necessarily capture the first and last reservation on each of those days, but it gives us a known approximate range. I also don’t know what the cancellation rate is for Tesla reservations is. But given the non refundable $250 deposit, I assume it’s not super high. There could be regions where the res deposit is refundable, based on local law, which could mightily skew the numbers as well.
I don’t know that Tesla had 46,452 reservations of Cybertruck during that 8 day window, but something jumped up Tesla reservations to more than double the average delivery rate over that span. I also did not add S, X, & C to the number, but the average volumes are so low, typically. According to the P&D report they delivered 235 per day in Q2, and 1880 over an average 8 day span. Q1 delivery numbers were lower than Q2, so I used the higher number as a comparison factor against the Q1 8 day window.
According to the Tesla ref, Tesla typically delivers foreign deliveries within a 90 day window. Foreign markets are larger than the domestic market, so end of Feb, foreign reservations of 3 &Y would have likely delivered in Q2. From my own Tesla ref experience of 10 reservations, only 2 delivered in the first 30 days, and they were pretty close to the 30 day mark. In my referral account, I can see what date they ordered, and I get an email on the date they delivered.
This is the math based on available numbers. But what caused the flare of reservations is speculation. Model S & X hit a popularity stretch, when they were announced to be sunsetting. Probably not enough to move the needle.
