Will a Second Round of Foundation Edition E-Mails go out on 12/15?

Do you think additional invites will go out tomorrow?

I just got a foundation series invite at 5:30pm today. So reservations are still coming. However… the cyber beast delivery date now says mid-late 2024. Dual motor says Jan-March. Makes it a really tough decision, I don’t want to wait that long for the beast.
Yes, this was a hard decision but for some reason I’m telling myself it will be worth the wait.

The other side, hoping the estimate is a bit off. Probably wishful thinking but no matter what, l waited this long.

For that much money get the one you want. Whatever problem they have with beast parts could resolve itself well before the end of the year. If not you still get the truck you want.

I decided to just get the AWD version. For a few reasons. Maybe this helps someone else decide…
- The extra $20k for acceleration and light bar (mostly) is hard to justify. I could get the extended range battery pack with that money later. I have a Model X 100D, I passed on the P100D for the same reason in 2018. And was sad for a bit, but then didn’t care.
- Tesla has a habit of missing dates, so the mid-late ‘24 is far enough that they probably don’t have a clear path to get there.
- I could really use a pickup truck now, I have a lot of projects I am working on.
- I get one sooner than most people. I am a social person, and I mostly like when other people come up and ask about my cars.

A few other smaller reasons, but overall, I’m just so excited for the truck, I prefer not to wait longer. Jan-mar is something I can almost taste! ?

Cybermoose,

Not arguing, just asking. If tesla is not numbering the FS trucks, how does anyone know other than tesla, how may trucks end up being produced?

With no numbering system, is it not plausible that they will continue milking this and offer it to people down the reservation line til they have sufficient ramp up to offer non FS trucks?
Expect Tesla to offer FS for a period of time, not a set number.

So the question becomes, during that period of time how many do they anticipate being able to make/deliver.

That the Cyberbeast delivery is already out to “late 2024” shows they’ll be making at least Beasts for a long time in order to catch up with the backlog/parts constraints.

That AWD delivery estimates pre-date that considerably, goes to show:

However many FS they end up allowing to be configured, Tesla will be configuring/delivering normal retail AWD well before they’re done delivering the last FS Cyberbeast.

This is what Tesla did a year ago with the Model S. While others were waiting around a year, if you ordered a Plaid, it only took weeks. You just had to pay more to cut the line. I know, I did it. It was part of the reason I opted for it.
except here, the highest trim, will take longer not sooner to receive

I thought it was just the first batch that were $250 and then after that they increased it to $1,000. I placed a Foundation dual motor order for $250.
Are you sure about that dude? $250 was to simply get your place in line for a CT. $1000 was required when peeps got the email/app invite to place their actual order for the Foundation Series. Unless something has changed?

At my age, I'm sure of nothing, and I did say, "I thought." I thought, it was $49,900 (now $79,990 [now $99,990, an additional $60k-ish]) for the AWD, a $100 (now $250) to reserve or get in line. Then the first emails that went out asked for another $250 (now $1000?) to start the order. What is next, they ask for you to pay for the transportation fees before giving a delivery date? :)
