I am going to purchase a used 2024 foundation series cyberbeast from a private seller

I am willing to pay a few thousand more for listings that have lifetime FSD. I always thought FSD transfers with no issue as long as it does not go through Tesla CPO program.

But I have seen some mixed reports online of it not transferring on some FSCT because the FSD was never purchased outright and rather was “included” in the FS package as a promo.

also with recent Feb 14 change of no more lifetime fsd, and luxe no longer transferring…just wanna get some input before I offer a higher bid than my valuation of a used non fsd fscb

I traded my Foundation Series to Tesla and transferred the FSD to my new Cybertruck. So, not all Foundation Series are going to have FSD.

If it were me, I'd confirm the SC01 (free unlimited supercharging) option code with Tesla before signing anything. SC01 follows the VIN. SC05 is FUSC, but first owner only. Alternatively, you can ask the seller to give you the options link and plug it into https://teslascout.com/optiondecoder/. While I've never heard of SC01 being changed to SC04 ("pay at the pump") after transferring a clean title, Tesla does have the right to change it. Back in the good 'ol days with MS and MX they didn't even change to SC00 (supercharging disabled) with a salvage title. They seem to be cracking down now. If you get a salvage title, you can fix it and pay Tesla for a battery inspection to restore SC01 for $900-$2k, skewing towards the middle. This is usually successful if one forks out the right amount of time and/or money, but highly variable dependent on Service Center and damage repaired. IDK the code for lifetime FSD. Some of the repair forum folks speculate that they no longer store most of the codes in the image link. Others out here might have first-hand experience or credible links. Let us know what you find out!

Do some FSCT have SC01? I’m not really following you on how I can get FUSC to transfer to a used FSCT?

I don't believe so. The ones on the Luxe package were never transferable.
