I watched a florida windshield body shop discussion who said they are tesla certified and instruct service centers, and called out 1mm spec above sunroof, but don't have the url for that discussion. Another thought, however, since you have the beast, is the lightbar (when it becomes available) might make the point moot as it will definitely sit above the windshield.

Sounds good, thank you for the reply, much appreciated! I had Tesla adjust my doors and windows and that helped a ton with the wind noise. That is good to know about the windshield, you have a great point with the light bar, I’ve made an appointment for the first week in February to have that installed, if that doesn’t fix it, I may run a little rubber weatherstripping down that gap between the windshield and the roof glass..

Do you know how they adjusted your doors and windows?

Yes, mobile service came out to my house since I don’t live near a service center. Basically, they popped the panels off the inside of my doors and made some adjustments so that the door fit snugger and also adjusted the windows so that they fit more snuggly into the Rubber trim/seal. It only took about an hour and it fixed it.

Although I didn’t think my wife’s Model Y was noisy, I bought an inexpensive noise reduction kit from RPM Tesla that consisted of a ~3/8” diameter black rubber cord that was cut to length to fit the perimeter of the roof glass —you just push it into place. After doing so, it was substantially quieter.

I recommend those with wind noise inspect the seals around the windshield and roof glass.
