I am now on my second Cybertruck (for which I feel very lucky) and I am experiencing the same irritating interior windshield fog that I did in my last truck. I have to clean the interior (with Sprayway ammonia free glass cleaner) every day if I want to keep it clear. This is annoying in itself, but I am also aware that the forward-facing windshield camera view suffers as a result of the fogging/off-gassing. Clearly, this negatively impacts FSD. The attached picture shows what the enclosed area around the camera looks like vs the rest of the windshield that I can more easily clean myself. Since this is happening with the same regularity on my second truck I expect that it's a fairly widespread Cybertruck issue. I found other references to it in this forum, but I could not find a definitive answer on how to fix it.

Does anyone have the final fix for the windshield fogging issue? Also, is cleaning inside the windshield mounted camera housing easily done?

A year and 3 months of having mine, still dealing with it. I am gonna have them clean in camera area when it goes in next bc it has been blurring up my Sentry videos.

The VOCs need to finish off gassing. This can be accelerated by leaving it in heat with the windows cracked (bonus points for fans to circulate the air). Ceramic coating surfaces or other sealants can also help. With such a large dash and the materials Tesla uses, you'll have it for a while if you live anywhere humid and <90 degrees.

IMO nothing can fully stop the camera spot. They seal it up too well trapping in the gasses. A new part simply needs designed for it. Either to give a vent for the gases, easier cleaning, or some sort of sealant.

I live in Florida and the truck is very regularly 100F in the cabin. My last one was parked outside for more than a year with the same off-gassing problem the whole time. I have no doubt that you are correct, but surely there is some way to accelerate the process. And if not, is there something that can be done to the windshield to keep it from collecting that gas? A coating, perhaps?

I used Adam's Brilliant Glaze on the interior glass, as specified by Out Of Spec's YouTube video. It's keeping the glass pretty clean, so I used it under the Glare Shield as well. Time will tell if it actually helps.

A ceramic coating might do better, but the prep would need to be perfect, and ceramics are far less forgiving. If it's a dud, it would take friction removal where there is very little room to maneuver.

Dude, mine didn't look that bad after almost a year. What are you smoking

(Humidity is probably a factor.)

Cabin temp isn't the key... you need very hot, dry air. Like 90+ and 5% humidity. That accelerates the offgassing and lets it escape.

A humid area like Florida will offgas for a long time. Gotta keep the windows down really let it bake... and dry it out. Beyond that sealing surfaces is the only way to make it go away quicker... and that isn't going away so much as containing.

I wouldn't ceramic coat any interior glass, since you don't want condensation to bead up and drip down.

Definitely not the glass, but the plastics and vinyls being coated would help.

I had the same problem and took it to the service center. They said it is an issue. What they did is "Clean forward camera view (precision cleaning of inboard glass). It is not an easy job, as you see in one of the attached suggestions. Tesla stated that after the warranty period, the cost will be $65. It is a manufacturing defect, and they should cover it.

I have the same problem and my CB is 10 months old. I just had it in to service as the fogging was getting into the camera as well. They ended up breaking the plastic housing so I had to go in again so they could replace the four clips that hold it in.

The dish detergent method worked best for me followed by sprayaway. Sprayaway alone never worked for me. The key for me was to use multiple microfibre rags (about 4) to make sure to not just spread the VOC/oils around.

This poster suggested the detergent: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...rior-of-the-ct-windshield.44514/post-30611520
