Xbox Controller on Bluetooth not working?

So I have 2 Xbox controllers I use to use on my Model Y (2024) but it doesn't seem to work at all on my Cybertruck. One controller is is older Xbox One X (Model 1708) and the other is newer Series X (Model 1914).

The 1914 cannot even bluetooth pair to the Cybertruck (not detected) while the 1708 is detected and paired but the inputs don't work correctly once paired. Lots of input errors flash up such as "THROTTLE AXIS NOT CONFIGURED" while playing beach buggy.

The model 1708 works fine when USB connected through the glovebox but bluetooth doesn't work at all which is inconvenient.

Wondering anyone has a solution.

Yeah, so 2 people said Xbox doesn't work, and 2 people said it did. I even have the same Model 1708 Xbox One X controller, and its giving me problems

I don't know my model but it's the one that came with my series X and it does not work on bluetooth. Apparently CT only supports bluetooth classic and the xbox controllers use bluetooth LE. For now I have to use it wired through the glove box but I'm searching for a controller that's both cheap, compact (so I can store two in the glove box without taking too much space), and has analog sticks that uses bluetooth classic to replacing having to use the wire. From my research the most compatible controller is the playstation 5 controller but I don't really want to $50+ per controller.

I had to roll back the firmware on my Xbox Elite 2 controller. Google the instructions. My xbox controller works on the front and rear screen for games flawlessly.

Going to give this a try on my regular controller. I also have an elite 2 but don't want to use that in the car.

I have this exact controller and it doesn’t work at all, even after trying to remap the buttons. I have two of them that are behaving the same way, so it’s not a defective controller.

Hmm weird, I just used it today to play multiple games on my CT. I’ve never remapped buttons or anything.

I think your situation is the exactly same one I have. Its a Bluetooth classic xbox controller that should work fine but something is funky on the CT that is preventing it from working for me.

I will add that one odd thing is the messaging app didnt work for me until the update before the holiday one and now it does for my iOS device. So seems they have been messing with BT.

Bought one of these controllers from Amazon for my Grandson to use while they were here over the Holidays. Tried to use it with the rear screen Arcade App update. We were able to pair it successfully but the controller would not function. Are there any other steps to take to get the controller to function with the CT rear screen and the games?

Nothing different that I know of. My kid used the controller on the rear screen on a road trip a few days ago.

I suppose it’s possible the manufacturer updated the Bluetooth chipset and it is no longer Bluetooth classic.

Anybody get an Xbox controller working yet? Xbox elite specifically.
