I adjusted my headlights upward to be level. I was pointed at a big-box store from the far end of the parking lot, they were bright AF.

I picked up my CT on Friday and I have never owned a Tesla, but it feels nothing like my Ram Crew Cab Laramie truck which feels clunky after driving the CT. It is a dream to drive, and despite what I have read, I think it drives closer to a car than any truck I have ever had. The entertainment and electronics are just nuts and I consider myself a geek. This won't surprise any Tesla owners which I was not. I was at a Sportsmen Sporting Clay event and I had more compliments than I expected with all the diesel trucks surrounding me. In fact, a guy after spending time with my CT is now going to order one. It was pretty funny that he owns two diesels.

Unfortunately not everything is peaches and cream. I have a number of delivery issues and will mention a few here, but will create a consolidated list and add it later. I had a number of scratches on my CT on both fins and they really did not clean it. There were muddy footprints on the mats in the back of the truck and no work on the marks I pointed out days before my delivery appointment. Those marks proved to have scratches under them. I even have a tiny gouge/scratch with a burr on the frunk. They believe they will be able to buff them all out. I already mentioned in another post that the very bottom of my Fin on the passenger side has a nip or grind, I believe this will only be mine and they are committed to replacing it. I still have to think whether or not I want to take the risk. There was dust everywhere including inside the frunk and bed. I thought they would detail it like any new car should be and even my Ram Truck looked way better from being detailed at a Nissan dealership days earlier.

There was extra glue both on the windshield that looked like a defect in the glass (hard drop), but their service manager came over to take pictures as his staff thought it was a problem too, but he confidently removed it. BTW, the service manager at the Lyndhurst, Ohio center seems to be a great guy and is very confident in resolving my issues. There was some rubberized sealant glue on the top of the truck from the windshield install that I removed fairly easily. Panel gaps actually looked good, but I think the frunk could use a little adjustment (sticks below the vendor at the front) and the fins are slightly out of alignment to the roofline, but frankly it isn't important and overall noticeable.

I just found this morning that the rubber seal that goes between the Fin (back fenders) and the back door locks and pillar, are pretty misaligned and odd.

My biggest concerns are as follows. and I hope anyone else that has a CT can confirm or deny they have the same issues.

1. My CT at 49 mph starts to have a shaky/vibration that you can hear and feel like out balance tires or large mud tires. It vibrates the steering as well, so the whole truck has a slight vibration and it speeds up through 60 mph until even faster speeds makes it so high that it is "Less" noticeable. I would love to hear from others with their CT if they are experiencing this. It is really smooth and a pleasure to drive from 0 to 40 mph.

2. The windshield has a total fog to it if there is any front sunshine or overhead lighting. I have cleaned it 4x, but I noticed this morning I still see my pattern of wiping on it as well, so I am ordering a magnetic cleaner and wand and will directly spray on the windshield instead of the rag to see if it is somehow some slimy film that is still on it.

3. The boombox outside speaker I have only gotten to work once and it was pretty quiet. I think this is an operator error, so I will report back after I work on it for a while.
@cyberHoward, your wheels/tires need to be re-balanced. Mines smooth up to triple digits. Had a Bronco and a Wrangler with 35s in the past. Can't tell you how hard it is to get 35s to balance, even from the factory. Go test drive a brand new Ford Bronco with 35s (Sasquatch package) and you'll find about half will wobble/shake...from the factory! BTW, if you can feel the shake in the steering wheel, it's usually one or both of the front wheels/tires. If you feel it in your seat of the pants, then it's the rears.

Interesting to read other perspectives.

My CT headlights are great, perhaps barely less good than my M3 but not inadequate by any stretch. I live where streetlights aren't a thing, and you need good lights not to hit deer. Tested and passed (I am curious to see how CT handles a deer collision, but not mine). Maybe OP should try adjusting the aim?

I do agree, it would be nice if there was a long-click option or some other shortcut that always turns on front cam at any speed. I work around it by bringing up the full cam view and just scrolling up/down. But saying the rear view camera sucks? I think cameras in CT are great, and so does everyone I show. It's wide aspect on purpose, which helps to avoid jagged rock wall in my driveway during full lock turn; seeing the bumper corner helps a lot.

I don't miss roll mode. But I do agree, why get rid of it?? Same with regen level. Just warn people it's less efficient and wears out your brakes faster, options are good!

Wide angle for backup camera is good. Wide angle for rear view while driving is bad.

I like it that way, but yeah can see in some scenarios it could be nice if it was digitally zoomed to look more normal/closer. Automatically doing this over a certain speed should be a trivial option for Tesla to add.

also, as far as roll mode... I don't see how it would wear my brakes faster. I was using the brakes as absolutely late in the stopping process as possible before, the same happens with hold mode. I bet roll would even let my brakes last longer, because I apply the brakes at the end smoother than hold mode does.

On another note, the attention this thing gets is really crazy. I fully don't mind the swarms of people taking pictures when I get somewhere, I knew going in that this was what I signed up for. However, I have a very big problem with the people who are driving that decide to stop paying attention to anything besides the truck. Crossing intersections turning their heads more than 90 degrees, driving with their phone held up so they can record fully looking sideways rather than forward... People speed up and slow down on both sides of the truck when I'm on the highway making it difficult to change lanes to get where I'm going... I can't believe that the attention span and IQ has dropped so far that people must put themselves and everyone around them in danger to get a glimpse of the truck. People make aggressive maneuvers to cut across several lanes to pull off of the road and watch me go by.

It's just like if you missed an exit or a turn. If you think you should slam on the brakes and cut across a multi lane road rather than go around and try again, you should not ever be in control of a motor vehicle. It's okay if you catch a glimpse of the truck to just keep driving normally, and not get right up next to it at any/all costs.

I appreciate it. I am trying not to be overly concerned, but I accepted the truck with a pretty good list of surface issues, but having driving issues is a whole other thing. Since this is drive by wire, probably can't tell where the issue. I think the steering column is solidly bolted so any vibrations in the car you feel them in your fingers.

I have no issues with the headlights so far on mine. Doesn't seem too dim or much different then my other cars. I heard the complaints before about them but they seem fine for me.

Yes I want that horn beep on lock too. The only thing you can do is make it one of the funny sounds in the toybox. But I like the regular beep. In the manual it says it can do it but the option is missing from the screen.
could you download a custom horn sound to save to your toybox and use that? Silly that you have to do that but I love the idea of being able to use custom sounds for locking the truck. I'm thinking R2-D2, Transformers, or knight rider sound clips.

In my 3 I use the “prowler” sound from the Miles Morales Spider-Man movie, and my wife’s Y does the super Mario down-pipe sound. I plan on something really futuristic for the truck - hope to have it this weekend or early next week if the fix comes in early enough.

Can it have separate lock and unlock sounds or just one for both? I found this site that so far is totally free and has some cool synth sounds.

Yeah I forgot about the USB sound options. I might do that.

Yeah it’s pretty nuts. It’s downright dangerous sometimes. Parking lot stuff is fine for me too but on the road while driving is not cool. But what can you do. Just need to be careful until there are more on the road and people get bored with it.
