What's next? Round steering wheels in F1 cars? Round steering wheels in Robotaxis? Oh the Humanity! Round steering wheels are for people who drive old technology cars that require round steering wheels in order to turn. The Cybertruck is not such a vehicle. Drive by wire is the future until the future becomes no need to have a steering interface at all. You would never rotate a round steering wheel even 1 complete turn in the Cybertruck with drive by wire, so what would be the purpose of installing it? You would be better off installing a motorcycle handlebar in the Cybertruck as it would be infinitely more useful than a round wheel. (Ever wonder why motorcycles don't have steering wheels?) :)

Completely agree with this but not in the S and x.
The yoke for those cars is a horrible invention which should never have been allowed to be installed. Maybe if they had steer by wire but on a normal rack that’s not moving at freeway speeds, downright dangerous. Only acceptable if you relinquish to FSD greater than 90% of the time and even then it presents an issue in parking lots.
hard stop for us when we were shopping for our model x.

That will change once the S and X get drive by wire of course. I was answering the question about installing a round wheel in a Cybertruck. :)

I still like the idea of a motorcycle style handlebar control in the Cybertruck, then the turn signals would simply be the left-right thumb switch on the left handlebar, the throttle on the right handlebar would be interesting, you could kick your feet up. :)

Sure, but when I do I don't have throttle control, now you could have both with the new Cyberbar!
You even have a name for it. Awesome.
Though to be honest it sounds like a triangular competitor to magnum and dove ice cream.

Jeepers Ken. Is there anything you haven’t installed? 😂
Grateful for you man.
Well i don't think people should try to install a steering wheel on a Cybertruck without reading that article or watching that video first so they can save themselves some real heartache.
