I ordered from TWraps and I hope mine comes out as good as yours did. Great job. Any tips or words of wisdom??
Thank you for supporting us!
Other than what I show in the video, the biggest tip I have based on latest experience is this - do the install on day 1, leave it to dry, and then do the edge folding on day 2. Don't try to fold edges the same day it was installed. It works in the summer but not in the winter.
Also, keeping a clean environment is essential. Do not put the PPF on the floor if possible, use a table. I can also recommend wearing latex gloves - it protects the PPF from skin particles and your skin from dehydration.
And of course - watch the install video and get an electric sprayer from Amazon. If you have any issues just let me know, leave it as is, take photos & let me know, I can help in most scenarios and where it's beyond help, I will just send replacements ??

Where are people getting their badging?
chuck Cook posted a YouTube yesterday and at the 26 minute, he shows how he placed the badging underneath the PPF and got a very cool embossed look. I know there are pros and cons to this but it sure looks cool. Of course I don’t know if his PPF was the same thickness as TWraps.
I happened to have some XPEL armor wrap and yesterday I laser cut the Cerberus logo and I think it is awesome.

That's very nice!
People with FS (not too many that are yet to do a wrap at this point) mostly buy vinyl FS badges from other vendors, as we don't offer these. I am steering away from anything that can get me in legal trouble with the car manufacturers, like trademarked words (Foundation Series), copyrighted shapes (emblems) etc... On my own CT I made FS badges and cut laser cut them out of 3mm thick acrylic. Here is what it looked like before I stripped my wrap (about to do a new one and will likely try the emboss method):

What is the cost for this same material/color?
$1700 usually, but right now we have 17% President's Day Sale with code MADEINTHEUSA, so it brings it down. There is sales tax which I can't predict - Shopify calculates it based on your address.

That gray looks great. I’m looking for something super dark gray - not quite black. Is there a PPF out there that is even dark than this one?

Do you recommend to install in winter? Or should we wait for spring, temps are hovering around 20's and 30's right now..

This one feels like super dark gray but not quite black...happy to send you photos of this next to the black and the lead ink gray if interested:

Installing in the winter is OK if you have a garage where the entire CT fits. If you do, you can do this:
1. Run a space heater for your own comfort
2. Do the PPF install on day 1, let it dry overnight and then do the edge folding on day 2. Don't even try doing the edges on day 1. Then on day 2 for the edges, use a heat gun or a hair dryer to warm them up just before folding, this makes it a lot easier & faster.

This is what I've been doing in the winter installs for customers, and it's worked great, it just splits the job in 2 days as you wait for it to dry. I also recommend slicing the bottom edges on the doors, instead of folding them - this allows for any leftover water to drain and it's not visible on the outside. This is how I've been doing it, I actually plan on shooting a new install video to show all these things.

Wow, this dark grey looks awesome.

And, like seeing the quote from the customer comparing your DIY wrap to someone else's.

Do you have any pictures of a truck with the 50% tint wrap?

I’ve been on the fence for awhile but now I gotta resurface my whole truck because of a magnesium chloride reaction from winter roads. It’s tiny dots but wouldn’t want to wrap over it.
I have a video... here it is:

Also here are photos I took a while ago while I had mine wrapped in 50% tint:

And here is a photo showing 50% vs 30% tint (30% being darker):

Notice that the tinted PPF is glossy and shows the pattern (but also imperfections if you have any) of the steel body.
