I'd be more impressed if they did that driverless.
I’m thinking they already are. They got robotaxis rollin. Think of how much labor it saves to park them autonomousl. Wow, just wow

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they did, then removed the driverless feature before shipping anywhere.

This is impressive, but what will be more impressive is if they could dig those tunnels to ease the traffic at SFO, Seattle, NY, and LA!! ?

The problem with FSD in the factory tunnel is that the cameras are not calibrated yet. The vehicle needs to be driven a few miles for full calibration, so they would need to solve that problem first.

I suppose they could have a “FSD Factory Mode” where it will simply follow a line painted along the route ?‍♂

Or maybe they have a "pace" car that is already calibrated?

Nope, here in Fremont Model 3s drive themselves from factory exit to loading lot. Over a mile with traffic. The cameras are now pre-calibrated. How? I do not know, but I have seen them driverless. I assume the CT is doing the same or will soon.

It's a closed lot and they are geofenced, so no real traffic, but this is true.

They are not doing this with the CTs, yet.
