You guys might've brought this up already. I've been out of the loop a bit. But just in case.

? ??
Thieves used to do the exact same thing with Honda Civics in the early 90s. They’d just bend the glass out a few inches though, to reach the door lock
I’ve never owned a Honda. But I’m pretty sure a Civic doesn’t cost $120,000 and I’ve never heard anybody boast about how apocalypse proof Honda Civics are. ?

My Cyberbeast has a lot going for it, but Tesla (mainly Elon) needs to learn how to under-promise and over-deliver instead of doing it bass ackwards.

I don’t believe the owner had Sentry mode activated. I really don’t think it’s much of a story. A thief gets in vehicle by going through the window. It will happen.
The story is the CT has stronger windows than in other vehicles. Yet a thief was able to simply "peel" it back instead of breaking through it to gain access, and do so without triggering the alarm.

The CT does not have stronger windows per se. They are double laminated like the new model 3. They will "peel" like this instead of the window shattering like on traditional vehicle windows.

They are safer in a crash, but not generally stronger in the case of preventing entry from a determined scumbag.

If someone wants to get into somewhere...anywhere, and they have time and effort, they'll get in. So sorry this happened to you! Hopefully Tesla has the side window glass in stock and get you back on the road ASAP.

BTW, I know criminals aren't the brightest, but does anyone know why, after they stole the backpack, they stayed in their parking spot an extra minute before leaving? Seemed extra stupid. It was also a nice touch that the driver had a mask, but the actual person who broke in was clear faced lol. I hope they find them!

It is stronger in the sense that trying to break through the window would be more difficult than in other vehicles. So it makes sense that a thief, knowing this, would attempt to peel it back instead. This also seems to evade the alarm sensors.
