We left North San Diego on Monday to start our Cyberbeast Utah national parks camping tour. Day 1 to Saint George Day 2 Zion, Bryce Canyon, overnight Torrey Utah RV Park , Day 3 Dead Horse Point State Park Camping RV Spot, day 4,5 Pure Camping Arches Nat Park, Day 6 RVPark Moab, Day 7 Hotel Moab. Today Canyonlands touring and back to Moab via the Shafer Trail. My first experience with the off-road modes. Trail is maybe a class 2-3 so not too tough. Overall very pleased with the ride quality even though fully loaded.

Some camping learnings. We slept in the vault 3 nights so far as it was warm at night and dry. We have a foam cored air mattress 4”. We put our head toward the tailgate as the feet fit better towards the front and you since twin mattress is 3” long it props up pillows against the tail gate. FYI the outlets disable when you AC charge like at RV Parks. Not a problem as most have 110 to go with 14-50 240 bolt 32 amp hook ups.

The performance and utility of the Cyberbeast has been outstanding. The quietness and comfort of the ride, the range achieved has been very good considering we have four adults fully loaded with camping stuff and coolers, it’s been 95 to 105° each day so full AC set to 71 most the time, and estimated overall total weight of 8000 pounds. So far 960 miles and 402 w/mile actual range. This equates to 306 actual range which is outstanding with all the conditions.

This week Monument Valley Horseshoe Bend and Grand Canyon. Some pictures with the Beast.

Thanks for sharing. Our challenge is how to get from Austin to Arizona or U in a reasonable amount of time.

so we can supercharge and use the outlets but we cannot use a charging adapter and use the outlets? I’ve been reading different stories here. Originally some were able to do so, but then lost the feature. And some update was supposed to fix it.

Awesome & enjoy.

FWIW I HIGHLY recommend using the GuideAlong GPS guided tour app. We used it in the Mighty 5 in Utah a couple years back and it was amazing. Makes the national parks so much more interesting. Also used it in Hawaii and Joshua Tree. Totally worth the few bucks.

Link to iOS version.

The gap filler to supercharging is overnight RV Parks with 14-50 hookups. Sleep in the vault like we are or pitch a tent.

Most are 32 amp 240v range. They also have 110 outlets. You may have some destination charge options but they are slower charge and less available. Get the app PlugShare which shows most available charge options.

Day 8 Sand Lakes Recreation park. We did the first 2 miles of fins n things trail. It’s rated as a 4/5 out of 10 off-road trail. Definitely needed the spotting from my brother and sister-in-law. For all Beast performed well and we had a blast.

. There is about a 45° 5 foot drop towards the end. I guess I am not a novice anymore.

Correct. At least for now, AC outlets on the truck work when DC charging (supercharging) but not when AC charging.
