Cybertruck AWD Delivered 02/09/23 Carlsbad

Following up on my VIN assigned thread.

Delivered: Today 10:30 am 02/09/24 at Carlsbad

Called Tesla: 02/07/24 to Schedule Delivery myself. No one from Tesla ever contacted me because I was reaching out before they were.

Arrived: by train 02/06/24 at Carlsbad 11 pm

Called Tesla: 02/01/24 gave my RN and they said it was on a train arriving night of 02/06/24. Agent literally pinged car to give exact location of train.

VIN Assigned: 01/28/24 Sunday around 5 am

Ordered: 12/08/23 10:30 pm PT (email to order received earlier that night 6 pm)

Reserved: 2019 right after live event

fyi, ordered on an old email with no other Tesla’s on account

Truck is awesome. So glad I made the purchase and even the doubters at work were loving it.

There was a pretty big scratch at delivery but the Carlsbad team took it to the back and buffed it out. Literally all gone. Some rail dust rust spots were also removed.

all in all, very happy.

Congratulations! Glad you were able to closely track the location - calling a Tesla rep is 80% of the time is a miss, they just have standard answers. Is the VIN 12XX?

VIN is 001170

Congrats and glad to hear you got good Tesla reps to help and they actually gave you info. High Hopes! Guess I'll drive on down and see what's up.

This means they are doing about 170 a week because we tinted the windows on 1000 this past week.

That's cool that you got the scratch removed, this other Cybertruck had a scratch at delivery and were told that's normal.

How often are you wiping it down? This guy was cleaning it a couple times daily to remove prints. He's thinking of having us wrap it soon since he's already getting tired of cleaning it lol

So scratches can easily be buffed off Great news! I was worried that these special SS will be difficult to correct!

I always looked up the number for the Tesla Carlsbad location on Google maps and called that. The number generally redirects to the 1-800 line but I always had success connecting to a Tesla rep that way and occasionally, I talked to someone at Carlsbad.

I’m thinking of getting wrapped. My only concern is what the stainless steel will look like after 5+ years when the PPF is removed. Will it just have all these rust stains on it from moisture underneath the wrap or what?

This guy who unfortunately had to give him his VIN yesterday because his financing expired and couldn’t re-qualify was saying he was going to take his to Ghost Wrap in Carlsbad. I’ve heard good things about those guys from other owners and the Carlsbad reps.

I’m in San Diego. Are you renting it out? I own a production company and am a producer/writer/actor waiting for mine but probably not until mid / late year. Will you be renting it out or allow photos shoots for content I am creating? Please let me know: [email protected]

hey man, probably not. I drive all the time for work and between that and kids extracurriculars on the weekend I won’t have the time.

No worries. Keep me posted about your experience though. I’m really looking forward to this. I’ve held off getting a car for awhile just to get a Tesla that fit me and this came out and I was sold. But not sure when it’ll come I got messsge a couple months ago and again last week about being an early res holder and the $1000 off another Tesla not sure if that means I’m close. Thanks for the response.

If you got a discount offer you probably aren't close. If you didn't order in December 2023 you also probably won't have one for a year.
