How about you stop trying to funnel everyone one to your thread. Theres a reason only one person responded since Wednesday.
Yes yes yes, because I’m abrasive, persistent and respond poorly to shitposting.

You seem to have an intelligent grasp of some of the things being discussed and you are the least disingenuous of the bunch proliferating opposing commentary about pricing on this forum.

I’m yet to find anyone to actually interact with the concept of a different market strategy past complaints only looking at one aspect of it like selling to non reservation holders.

Mostly people trying to shut conversation down by arguing scalping won’t be an issue… which I agree it probably won’t be because Tesla will just start pricing at market value… as in, rather high.

Do you have anything to add about this market strategy?

No one has anything to add to your discussion about the market strategy and that's why they haven't been posting in it anymore.

You trying to funnel people from other threads to your own is bad form imo. You just gotta make like Elsa.

Plenty of other topics to be covered

Which is weird to me because the arguments on the threads about pricing just go around in circles with people getting stuck right at the point of an obvious solution.

Which leads me

to funnel people from other threads
And try to get them talking about a solution.

If Tim Dodd (Everyday Astronaut) can get Elon to add vent thrusters to starship, I figure this unusual market strategy that could keep prices low for early reservation holders and still let rich folk pay Tesla stupid amounts for their new toys could have legs if it catches the eye of the right person.

Lease program like this, call it a negative lease program. It is likened to noise. tesla will not function in this elaborated way. They will simplify. It is extraneous, it’s in the weeds. There’s no way they’re going to take up a program that is this petty.
That’s the best I can do on explaining this common sense from my perspective.

I may be wrong. But I’m not really interested in the discussion about the two-year lease vector. I don’t believe it’s gonna happen, it doesn’t feel realistic to me.
Yeah, that’s not really answering the question. I get that you don’t want to discuss it because it would severely inhibit your ability to offload your reservations to anyone but Tesla.

Whether Tesla will do it or not is not what I’m asking.

What about it is petty or extraneous?

you’re clearly not interested in discussions about *a* solution

you’re only interested in discussions about *your* “solution (which has been previously demonstrated to not work)

and there it is: your delusions of grandeur in a tidy little packet

The constant shitposting from parasites is onerous.

This also indicates to me this market strategy would be effective because the predominant interaction is disingenuous misrepresentation and deliberate “misunderstanding” from people clearly set to lose.

How many reservations do you have @CyberGus ?

You say "parasites", I say "capitalists"

And yet if Tesla conduct their business in an equally capitalist manner these parasites cry foul…
I find the easiest way to identify a disingenuous shitposter is to repeatedly ask them simple questions and see if they ignore them.

How many reservations are you going to scalp @CyberGus ?

Reservations? I'm not buying that ugly truck, I'm here for delightful intellectual discourse

When are you going to explain how your system will “work”?

You merely say Tesla should have some unknown number of auctions, to sell some unknown number of vehicles “ahead” of existing reservation holders

But the thrust of your proposal is meaningless until you explain how Tesla determines how many auctions to hold, and how that number of auctions is guaranteed to displace the scalpers continuing to have market in which to sell vehicles

You meanwhile say demand is unprecedented, suggesting there will be many hundreds, thousands or tens-of-thousands of potential buyers willing to pay above MSRP

Unless Tesla holds enough auctions to satisfy all of those above-MSRP buyers, the scalpers continue to have remaining market

At which point Tesla will have auctioned hundreds or thousands of vehicles “in front of” legit reservation holders, scalpers still scalp, and the legit reservation holders have borne all the “cost” of Tesla maneuvering to receive the above-MSRP auction amounts

Extrapolated, your proposal amounts to essentially requiring Tesla to just dump the entire reservation system and auction vehicles until the auctions stabilize at MSRP pricing
