No Resale Agreement?

It is only "sealioning" when the questions are asked in bad faith in order to derail the conversation.

Socratic method demands that questions must be asked. You can choose to reinforce your unfounded assertions with evidence, or you can withdraw them.
It’s has been provided on multiple occasions and ignored and the sealioning continues.

If you adhere to the Socratic method, why then do you confuse your input with satire, sarcasm and generally funny commentary but then switch to admonitions for genuine commentary?

When/where?
If you hadn’t guessed I’m not going to interact further with your sealioning, it’s beneath you.

Sealioning the discussion is not helpful Crissa. It’s quite clear from Tweets and statements from Elon on end 1/4 earnings call that the prices will be adjusted in an upwards direction.

Your bad faith arguments are clearly an attempt to avoid and dissuade discussion of a mechanism to restrict your capacity to capitalise on your reservations or just argument for arguments sake.
How about you answer any one of the multitude of questions I have posed to you that have been thoroughly ignored.

Considering Teslas current pricing strategy, what effect will the reservation list have on their pricing for early vs late reservation holders?

sounds to me like Tesla will sell me my Tri-Motor at $69,999 plus 7k for FSD.....Ummm
What are your thoughts on the hypothetical of Tesla imposing a resale restriction as part of the sales contract to facilitate that pricing?

well, I have 2 thoughts on that..... 1) I plan on keeping it for a long time and the price is a fair one for me...I am 46,146 on the reservation list and have no intensions on selling my place in line.....2). as a lawyer, if my contract had that requirement and I still wanted the CT at that price, it would not bother me and I would abide by the contract terms....

People who are balking at it, in my humble opinion, are either greedy or looking for a quick way to make a profit and hoping that the price goes up and make it more favorable to sell to someone whose reservation number is 200k or higher and would be willing to pay for it......

“No Resellers; Discontinuation, Cancellation. Tesla and its affiliates sell cars directly to end-consumers, and we may unilaterally cancel any order that we believe has been made with a view toward resale of the Vehicle or that has otherwise been made in bad faith, and we’ll keep your Order Deposit. This includes orders for which a third-party is facilitating or brokering the sale, or if the vehicles are to be exported to somewhere other than where you tell us you will be registering the Vehicle.”

yep, cool… how will that effect the guy that has three reservations? One to own, two to sell after the third arrives. Don’t forget the wait for anyone not in the queue is quite long…

Even in the unlikely event that someone has multiple reservations fulfilled all at once, they will need to pay them in full before delivery. That’s a substantial outlay.

If they do manage, then they will get to enjoy their resale profits, as well as their lifetime ban from Tesla.

my real hope is for a dual-motor for $65k plus &k FSD
I hope it's lower than that.

Noticed, you still didn't provide it. "Their current..." isn't evidence of anything.

Tesla doesn't currently change the price on anyone already in line. So your quote is completely incorrect.

Do you honestly think anyone would care that much about a ban? How easily is that ban enforced? How easily can that blacklist be circumvented?

solarwizard has said they will hold their extra vehicles for a few months to make a ban difficult.

SeaLioning is when a person continually asks for evidence of a readily available concept (which is subsequently ignored) to avoid and distract the conversation from the central topic.
Given that the (now retired) F-111 fighter bomber's zero altitude ejection seats were tested not with humans but with drugged black bears...

I am strongly inclined to vote for using drugged sea lions in testing the Cybertruck's ejection seats; however, caution is in order; the larger sea lions getting ten feet long and weighing a ton would not do.

Perhaps baby sea lions?

As for the concept of restricting resale? That's an infringement on property rights - essentially, you do not own the property 100% during the period of time the restriction is in force. I would grant though, that abuse of resale could occur; in some nightmarishish future scenarios abuse of resale rights could excess non-abusive early resale. But how would such cases be arbitrated? there would have to be a National Panel on Cybertruck Early Resale and of course, appeals boards. One might have to pursue an appeal all the way to the International Codified Cybertruck Transfer Authority.

May I suggest a moratorium on CT resales until the legal community is schooled in this new form of jurisprudence? Perhaps until 2032?

To ensure your complete satisfaction, I will reply to all of your questions and comments fully and completely.

1. Do you honestly think anyone would care that much about a ban?
No. Criminals don't care about jail...at least, until they get caught. The ban is not about deterrence as much as preventing repeat offenders.

2. How easily is that ban enforced?
Very easily. Unless, of course, someone chooses to create a false identity or enter WITSEC. I suppose a determined profiteer could steal them directly from the factory. 100% profit!

3. How easily can that blacklist be circumvented?
Anyone on the banned list can happily buy a used Tesla on the secondary market. Or they could use a straw buyer, but then that person risks banishment.

- solarwizard has said they will hold their extra vehicles for a few months to make a ban difficult.
That's allot of carrying costs that will eat into profits. Also, there's no specific timeframe for a ban, so there's no way to know when it's "safe" to resell.
