This would actually make a lot of sense with turbine wheels and extra heavy door seals pulled tight.

I feel bad in the same way I feel bad when I see parents teaching their 3 year-olds about Santa Claus. Because I know when they are 6, and they find out there is no Santa Claus, they are crushed.

Warning *** Non Tech

1. I wonder if the cabin is pressurized to test for leaks before getting into the water.. or

2. The door seals have air / pressure sensor.

Pressurizing on the inside would be stupid if you were relying on water pressure to press the doors against the seals.

My thought was to pressurise as a pre-check for air leak prior to getting a green light to enter the water. It doesn't have to be high pressure. If sensor measures pressure loss, there is potential for water ingress.

After that, we could open the windows if we wanted.

I can't follow any logic behind this at all.
Pressurizing the cabin requires different window mounts, a radically different climate control system... but even that aside, why do you push air into the car, at sea level?

The pressure of the water against the doors, pushes the doors in - putting more pressure on the seals, making the seals tighter.

Adding air pressure to the cabinet, counteracts this - and what about the passenger's ears/nose, etc?

I didnt say pressurize when in the water, doors pushing in has nothing to do with it.

I said pressurize to test for leaking prior to going into the water, it doesn't have to effect eardrums.

I have been scuba diving.. we are not talking those pressures. Maybe a tad like being in a lift.

Stop the nonsense. It’s getting out of hand. At this point it might as well be a Model Y with pickup truck features and maybe rear wheel steering on the top trim.

It’s not a boat, it won’t float.

You could test negative pressure, but even so, it wouldn't tell you if the leak was up (where it doesn't matter) or down (where it does).

If it displaces enough water and it doesn't leak in - it will float.
I dont suppose you think battleships are light do you?
