The Delivery Countdown Has Begun

Back in early '22 when Tesla announced that Cybertruck would ship in late '23, I picked "August 1st" as my target date. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna miss that, but the question is: "by how much?"

There's a delivery event tentatively set for September, to which I have not yet been invited lol. I'm a first-day reservation holder but nowhere near the front of the line, so I'm counting on the early builds being offered to local residents, like they did with the Model Y ramp.

So...Halloween? Maybe? Thanksgiving? CHRISTMAS??

That's great you're a first day reservation holder, So am I. My date that I was always anticipating having my Cybertruck by, has always been April 8 2024, the day of the total eclipse. I went to Oregon in August 2017, and after my first eclipse experience, my immediate thoughts were, when's the next one! When I looked it up. I was delighted to see the path of totality was within a few miles of my moms house in Arkansas.

So, when I reserved a Cybertruck in 2019, I began thinking how exciting it would be to take my family in the Cybertruck, and we could all see my moms house for the first time, and take her to see her first total solar eclipse.
Our routes there and back are set. All the Airbnb's have been reserved. We just don't know which vehicle we will take on our adventure from Oxnard to Ft. Smith Arkansas.

Come on Tesla, BRING OUT THE CYBERTRUCK!!!!!

I am looking for a delivery date of mid June 2024, for my 60th birthday. Day 2 reservation, tri-motor, FSD and within 2 hours of the Gigafactory. Hopefully this will be the last year I have to wear my "All I want for Christmas is my Cybertruck" t-shirt. It's starting to look a little ragged.

Day 3 reservation holder here. I am shooting for Jan/Feb 2025. That is why I put it my profile that my vehicle is a 2025 Cybertruck.

I will do everything I can though to possibly get it delivered in 2024 sometime.

Three years and law still not changed.

Shouldn't changing the the law been specified BEFORE the investment made. Can't trust them.

Other states changed and they did not get a giga-factory.

I don't think that was ever a real issue. It is purchased just like any Tesla in the state of TX. I don't remember hearing any issues from Model Y customers in TX about any shenanigans having to take place for their delivery.

yeah maybe it has some tax consequences or something for Tesla, but otherwise for buyers I understand it amounts to needing to do their own registration and state sales taxes etc
